I use these on a daily basis and have found them easy and safe to use on all automotive paints and Windows. The air of caution is on some solid no lacquered finishes you may find a shadow in the finish due to oxidisation which can be polished out.Dont let this put you off as they are a very useful tool

I had several rust spots on a car, and needed a way to draw around them so I could quickly do repairs. This chalk marker was perfect for the job. It went on easily (after a good minute shaking vigorously) and cleaned off easily. No lasting marks. Do not use on trim - only paintwork - as it's harder to clean off from trim. Great product and price.
