It is also a tough little speaker that looks like it can handle a lot of bumps and bruises.It’s 3.5”x3.25””x1 5/8”, 4.73 ounces, a little bulky for your pocket, but it can easily be carried in your pack.The speaker is a very good value for $20, the price at the time of this review.Sound: Very good, especially for a take-anywhere speaker; clear, balanced with bass. My preferences are country and easy listening and those genres sound very good.Volume: Speaker has only a 3W driver, but it does very well with it. Louder than some 5W speakers I have tried. I like the music loud, but live in a condominium with noise rules and I must frequently turn the volume down.I’ve listened to nothing that made by wish I could turn the volume up more than it can go.In the shower the speaker sounds even louder than outside because of the amplification due to the enclosed spaceWaterproofing: The product page says it has an IP65 rating, which means it is well protected against dust and low pressure jets of water. Just don’t submerge it.The micro USB port is protected by a rubber flap, which you want to be sure is in tight when in the shower or rain.Pairing: Quick and easy (M5). After that initial pairing, reconnection is also fast.Press the power button until green/blue flashing. After paired, light changes to blinking green.Controls: There are 4 buttons on the top: On/off; call; ”-” reduce volume/go back; play/pause/; “+” increase volume/next track. Long press for volume, short press for track changes, and press hard. I have to hold the speaker in one hand press with the other. If you don’t press the volume buttons hard enough you will change tracks instead.Charging: Standard micro USB port so can use same cable as your phone.The speaker has a 1500mAh battery, which is above average for small speakers. Thanks to its big battery, according to the user guide you can keep this speaker going for up to 12 hours on a full charge. I have not tested that, but I did test charging the speaker while the music is playing . This works fine, meaning you can keep the speaker going indefinitely as long as you have an electric outlet nearby. It will not charge if plugged into a powerbank.Included: Charge cable, carabiner and user guide in multiple languages.
