Well made chaps but fit very small
Hey they are chaps, good heavy leather with liner, extra length to allow for adjustments (raw cut no hem). The legs do fit really small I normally go for a 42" waist ordered a XXL the waist fit fine but had a hard time getting them over my jeans. There is no expansion panel to allow stretch on the inseam which would be better. I reordered a XXXL and they seem to be better but not by much, I can get them on easily enough, but they are still snug over jeans, but they do fit. They have an open pocket on either side with a zipper pocket on the ride side. All and all I like the quality, stitching appears to be of good quality, time will tell how they hold up, but they do look like they will last a long time.

Great quality and price for these chaps
Great quality and price for these chaps! Milwaukee leather is excellent quality leather and a good deal even at full retail. I have a Milwaukee jacket and vest that are many years old that I am still glad I bought to replace previous items. The sizing chart for the chaps has waist sizes that are extremely small but the thigh measurement is the important measurement when buying chaps. I have a 36" waist and the size medium fits perfect because the thigh measurement is correct.

Good quality, but order at least 2 sizes larger ...
Good quality, but order at least 2 sizes larger if you want them to fit. Had to return first 2 pair.

Hope this helps
Just received. Never used yet. I am a 36" waist and 32" length Levi, my thigh measured a 24". The size "Medium" fit perfectly in length with boots on. Waist is adjustable and fit fine after some rear belt buckle lacing readjustments ( snugged in). The thighs are a slight bit loose. I wish it was a bit snugger for my taste, but we will see after use. I would think this is an I mportant measurement when ordering depending on whether you like a loose or snug fit. The quality appears good. We will see with time and use how these chaps hold up. They are heavy and would appear to provide good protection and warmth. The three pockets are a nice feature. The YKK zippers are full length excluding the bottom 10" which use snap buttons. The stitching appears acceptable with no flaws noticed.

At this rate they'll never wear out.
While reviewing a couple of recent purchases I glanced through some earlier ones I'd not evaluated, several of which I'd been intending to review. These chaps are in that group and I've been wanting to get this done for a long time. After a great deal of searching I ordered a pair of these chaps, and, as happens to most of us sometimes, they were not a good size for me. There was no real trouble exchanging them for another pair, although my interpretation was a straight return wouldn't be without conflict. Pair number two still didn't fit properly, but I wasn't up to the challenge of persuading the merchant to make a second swap, or outright take them back, so I kept them. Maintaining tranquility has its price. I even actually wore them once, but I felt very awkward and uncomfortable in them, so never again. The fit was pretty bad. My problem is with the way they are cut. They are so extremely baggy around the upper part of the thigh they must be designed with Olympic dead weight lifters with Giant Redwood trunk thighs rather than normal, common, every day humans. From the crotch down as far as the knee I could fully fit the proper leg in one side and my other leg down to the first leg's knee, by which point they aren't "skinny jeans," but headed that way. I've had them for quite some time and they just occupy space and a pants hanger in my closet, serving no functional or even ornamental purpose. They were, to my mind, wasted money, more than I have to throw away.Perhaps there is some part of my estimation of these chaps related to my previous pair. I know that I'll never be able to replace the custom built pair I had that were stolen some years back, and because those were built for me specifically, and at considerable cost, they fit. I can sense the atmospheric disturbance as the haters prepare load up the comments. They needn't bother. Maybe I should have bucked up and just sent the chaps back. Maybe my interpretation of the experience during the exchange was wrong and it wouldn't have been a battle. I realize it is, ultimately, my fault for accepting poorly fabricated merchandise. But I really don't like to fight unless absolutely necessary, and will inconvenience myself to a significant degree first. That's my assessment of this pair of chaps, and I'm glad to have been able to express my sentiments about the product. I doubt that anyone will let this be a deterrent to ordering a pair for themselves, but I wanted to offer my opinion of an item that isn't particularly cheap so potential purchasers can be more fully informed in their choices.

Great chaps
Great chaps! They do have a mesh liner which is not stated in description. Although it might help be a little cooler in the summer time. They have heavy duty zippers; YKK. They are very well constructed for the money. I usually wear 32x32 pants and these fit great. Plenty of mobility.

Excellent Quality Chaps!
Like others have mentioned, the quality of the leather is great (thick yet pliable). The poster who said thigh measurement is the key to getting the correct fit is right on the money in my opinion. Your waist size should not be the deciding factor since the Large, for example, can expand enough to accomodate a waist of anywhere from 32" to 40" in jean size (my chaps came with an extra piece of leather to allow for a wide range of waist sizes). If you're wearing regular fit jeans in a 32-36, then the large (or even medium) should do the trick, but if you normally wear relaxed fit jeans in those sizes or a bit larger (a 38) because of a larger thigh, then the XL would probably suit you better.*Update: If you go on the Milwaukee Leathers site and look at their sizing chart for chaps, the measurements given are actually for the chaps layed out flat and open (I measured mine when they arrived). You can take those measurments, measure your leg size, and see what size you need (could even make a paper pattern). I ended up returning mine for a smaller size.
