**Q: Has anybody tried this on a Lowrance NMEA 2K network?**
A: Should work fine. The NMEA 2000 connector is a standard, and I used this cable with no issues hooking up a set of Lowrance and B&G gear.

**Q: What are the 2M, 6M, & 10M designations, length in meters?**
A: The "M", in the above designation, 2M, 6M, & 10M, represents, meters. A meter is similar to a yard. It is a little over 3 feet long. A foot is 12 inches. Therefore, if you purchase a 2M cable it will be roughly 6 feet long, or 78.74 inches. The math for determining the length of the 6M and the 10M will be the same. Hopefully my answers did not confuse you.

**Q: much of what i read says it's interchangable, i need it to extend to the 't' at the bow for a lowrance carbon 12.. it says garmin. wil it still work?**
A: Yes. NMEA 2k is a standard connection, the only difference in branding (Lowrance vs. Garmin) is the orientation of the pins to the flat on a tee. For example, if you mix garmin and lowrance t’s, some will lay flat against a bulkhead and some will be angled out.

**Q: what is the difference btween backbone and drop cable?**
A: Backbone is all the tees in line (like a manifold) and the drops are lines from the tach, and other components. Just Google and select images and you will see.
