UFO Reloading Press Light for Hornady LnL AP & O Frame Single Stage Presses

The media could not be loaded.  This thing is bright. Get the dimmer trust me. Remember clean and warm surface to install and you'll have no problems.

WOW!I really don't need to say much more than that but I will. Having tried all sorts peel and stick products over the years I made certain to follow the instructions carefully so my led strip would not peel away.First thing.....take the press off the bench. I did my prep work and installation with the press upside down and also laying on it's side so I could properly prep the area where the led strip would go. Taking the press off the bench was infinitely better than if I was upside down or on my side to get at the mounting area for prepping.I plugged in the led strip to allow it to warm up while I used cotton balls soaked in denatured alcohol to clean the area. I then scuffed the area lightly with an emery board (rather than the scrub pad) and then wiped it down again with the alcohol. I followed the cleaning with several minutes of warming the press with a hair dryer and then carefully applied the strip and secured the wiring.I returned the press to the bench and plugged it in.Thank goodness I got the dimmer. This thing is BRIGHT! the dimmer has about five brightness levels and I use the lowest setting.The dimmer also has a strobe mode with multiple speeds and I can already visualize a stroboscopic reloading video with me wearing a leather shop apron, 1920's pilots goggles, welding gloves, my hair all frizzed out, the soundtrack playing SUMMER IN THE CITY.......yep! I think the internet just might be ready for a reloading video by a female.But, heck, even if I never get to the video this light kit is going to make my reloading sessions so much easier! This thing rocks!

This UFO light system is outstanding. I had another, more expensive, lighting system setup on my Hornady LnL AP press and it just wasn't getting the job done. I saw this lighting system on a website for Dillon presses and looked on KMS Squared's website to see if they had it for the Hornady press and they did. The 550 lumens is no joke! It is super bright. I originally thought about keeping both light kits to make sure I had enough light, but the old light kit is not even needed with this awesome UFO light kit. I couldn't even tell the old light kit was turned on next to the UFO light kit. If you want something that will truly light up your shell plate and the inside of your cases during reloading, this is definitely the lighting kit you need to get. I wish I would have gotten this kit initially when I started reloading with my press. It would have made reloading life so much easier! It was also super easy to install and everything you need came with the kit. You didn't even need the instructions to install it, but the instructions are clear and concise. Really folks, if you reload on a press, this is the lighting kit you need to make sure that everything is running in order on your press.

Bought this for my press, why, cause why not. Brightens up the work area and now makes it easy to load rounds in a pitch black garage. Jk but seriously it adds more light while working and it’s dimmable just in case it’s too bright. Makes you look like a boss.

I was hoping for something to make it easier to see cases with powder. I got what I wanted. This is a great addition to my Lee Single stage press.

I want to start by saying this is an awesome product/kit. I did have some issues installing it where the strip wouldn't adhere to the press. The ring stuck really well, but the straight part kept coming unglued. I prepped the surface really good, I think it might have been a bend the strip had on it when it was packaged. Needless to say I emailed them and received a very fast reply asking if I had prepped the surface. They quickly offered to send out a replacement and did. I didn't have any issues with the new strip. I had been using a bench light since 2009 when I stated reloading on a Lee Turret press. This light makes all the difference in the world!
