I purchased this for a gentleman that I am providing care for who recently had a stroke and is unable to get into his bathroom for the time being. His feedback so far has been excellent, and says that it is very easy to use and likes the versatility of being able to have it wherever he is sitting. The collection chamber hold quite a bit and does not tip or roll over which is great to prevent messes. The collection cup he says could be slightly bigger but not a dealbreaker. The cap that goes over it is reassuring as well so that nothing could potentially come back up through the hose if it was laid down. The hose is a decent length and liquid flows very easily down it to prevent it from collecting midway, it is not super Bendy, but it does work very well. Overall I would highly recommend.

My semi-paralyzed husband has used his urinal twice since receiving it. The first time went perfectly, the second there was a bit of leakage at the top of the blue cup. I may not have had the angle correct. It’s certainly better than trying to change him and his bedding, or having to use the lift to take him to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Very happy with this purchase for him. Edited to add after ten days use first thing every morning: I can’t say enough about the convenience and ease of use there is with this urinal. I highly recommend it, especially for men with mobility issues, and the person who may be caring for one.

After having knee surgery, my husband needed something for overnight use. This was a lifesaver! The pee cup has a handle that we hung on the drawer for easy access. Large reservoir to handle several uses during the night was very handy. You did have to be careful not to tip over the reservoir because the lid would leak if you did. We wedged it under the nightstand and had no trouble. You also have to make sure you held the pee cup part up after use to straighten the tube so the pee would not get backed up in the tube. Just holding it up for a second or two ensured everything went down into the reservoir and not back out the cup. Very easy to clean! Emptied the container, sprayed about 6 squirts of cleaner with bleach and then filled it up with water. Shook it up several times and then poured the bleach water mixture down the pee cup to clean the tube. Then rinsed everything out with plain water. No stains or smells after cleaning. Works so well my husband might never get up during the night again!

My dad has been using this for night time urination several times a night for about 2 months now. It has made all the difference in the world in terms of our quality of life. He's a fall risk because of a head injury, and now he can pee by himself while sitting up on the edge of the bed, so we don't have to get up all night with him. With other urinals he would spill and we'd have to get up to help him with his balance. So much better quality of life for all of us now! He's extra happy, too, because he hated waking us up. My dad has bragged to all the visiting nurses, PT, and OT people about this urinal, and they've been thrilled to recommend it to other patients. From reading other reviews, I learned to put the reservoir in a cardboard box on the floor. That way it doesn't slide around. This keeps the tube stretched out long, so I hope that prevents some wear and tear from tangles. We keep the cup he pees in hooked on the grab bar we have attached to his bed. We keep a 36" inch chuck taped to the bedroom floor next to the bed for the occasional drip -- as men tend to drip on the floor where they pee no matter what. We also put a chuck over the edge of the bed just to make sure there are not drips onto the mattress. My mom rinses the urinal out with water every morning, and we had no odors until this week when we started to get a smell. I rinsed it out with white vinegar and water, and then I put in some baking soda followed by a vinegar rinse. As the acid vinegar neutralizes the baking soda, it makes the abrasive bits of soda bubble around, so it creates a nice scrubbing action. No more smell in the plastic. I did notice some of the blue color from the cup washing down through the tube, so I hope I didn't do something chemically to the cup. It seems fine. We've ordered a replacement tube as I've read that the tubes only last a few months. We're being careful to not twist or crimp ours, so we're not sure how long it will last. I'm guessing we might be able to get a replacement hose from the local hardware store, too, so we'll bring the new one in once it arrives so we can shop with virgin hose in hand.

I bought this portable urinal for my elderly father, and it’s been working very well. The long tube makes it easy for him to use without much movement, and the 2000 ml capacity means it doesn’t need to be emptied constantly. The screw-on lid is secure and has prevented any spills so far. It’s also easy to clean and feels sturdy enough for regular use. While it’s not a high-tech product, it does exactly what it promises. The tube could be a bit more flexible or attach more firmly, but overall, this has been a reliable and practical solution for our needs.

It’s works but the tubing is so stiff it tips over the container. On top of that the lid leaks around the edge and around the tubing connections. The container is not weighted at the bottom so again it tips over. The tubing is not long enough to use while in the bed. Im the caregiver of someone with Lou Gehrig’s disease and this is one stress I do do need. At the end of the day this urinal is a TOTAL MESS! I would not recommend at all. I’m actively looking for another style.

This is a great high-capacity urinal I do recommend buying. But it has drawbacks: 1. If your stream is heavy, you have to hold back your release as the cup and narrow tube can easily become overwhelmed for an unwelcome wet experience. 2. The airgap on the lid, is just a small hardly noticeable hole (a necessary function.) It does not have a flap however that closes when the unit fills up. So in the middle of the night, as you are releasing slowly into the easy-to-overwhelm cup and tube, you can easily fill the unit, then fill the tube so you are way past capacity and the pressure will force your discharge out through the airgap hole all over your carpet and floor. A significant amount when you consider how much fluid the tube can hold. 3. You will need a special, nylon (so it doesn't scratch or groove the plastic) dedicated brush to get uric acid build-up off the bottom of the unit. I have never met a perfect system for nighttime urinary needs but this is a good system. I would recommend buying it regardless of these drawbacks. I do think these limitations need noting. Hopefully to help others have to avoid a carpet cleaning bill or other inconvenient wet issues. Even better, perhaps to encourage the manufacturer to make a second more expensive model to put a self-closing flap on the airgap when the contents force the flap close due to being full and a wider capacity hose/tubing for us guys with horse-like flows. >>> I'd happily pay more for a second + model that had these additional cost-adding features. <<<

After reading other reviews l also experienced the same problem with the hose leaking the accordion design tends to crack causing the leak. I was able to find a bare fitting used for lawn sprinkler systems to work with the hose a little tight but no leaks after several weeks. Other than the hose leak I think that it is a good product l hope that the mgr.addresses this issue as it is being experienced my many people that have purchased this product
