Sour Grapes!
I just purchased these because of the fruit flies that tend to show up each summer. I have had them out for nearly a week and not one fly has gotten into any of the traps I have set out. It is a good thing they were cheap so I don't feel so badly about spending the cash. They are supposed to be disposable, but I will just refill them and reuse them. I see no need to discard them. Had I known you could take any small plastic bowl with a lid with a hole in the center and place malt vinegar into the bowl portion and close it with the lid I could have done this at home and saved the cash. As far as I can see they have been unsuccessful. I will be placing a piece of fruit into the bowl with the vinegar and I betcha they work much better.
