Updated reviewSo, it turns out that the problem is not the product. When I put the belt on my old Nalgene, it fit. Not as snugly as the original, but well enough. So I'm upgrading my score to four stars. I was able to use some scrap felt to make a snug fit on my new bottle. So, even in the same name brand Nalgenes, same capacity, there are variations in outside circumference.First reviewActually it is. It's a 33% failure rate. So, I previously ordered two of these about 7 or 8 years ago. They are great. They are still working fine. But I've gotten a new Nalgene and my son needs two for his bottles. So, I ordered three. Two for him fit, but not as snugly as the originals and the third for me is too loose to use. Question, how does soaking synthetic fibers in hot water cause them to shrink to fit? Answer, it doesn't. I'll try to ask for a refund or replacement and see how that goes. It's a shame that a previously great product has fallen prey to poor quality control or some other issue.

The concept is fantastic here, but the execution isn't great. The belt is loose, and the packaging claims this is easily remedied by soaking the belt in hot water for a few minutes and sliding it onto the bottle. After multiple attempts, I can say that is wholly inaccurate. The belt isn't loose enough that the bottle immediately slides out, but any amount of bouncing or jostling quickly throws the bottle out of the Bottle Belt.

I love these little things. They made a great and useful accessory for 32 oz nalgene bottles. I have seen some reviews complaining that they were too big but if you soak it in hot water for a bit and then put it on, it will shrink to fit the bottle as it dries and will stay snug. I have had mine on for over two years at this point and they are just as secure as ever!

Conceptually a great idea, but it doesn't fit any of my bottles - it slides right off. I bought 4 of them, and 3 of them are the same (not a big deal, but was hoping for more of an assortment....). I'll probably figure out a way to adhere them (rubber bands underneath, double-sided tape, etc.), but buyer beware.

I've been getting this bottle belt since 2010. The last two I purchased have not been tight enough and I lost a bottle. I then glued it on to my next bottle and the seam ripped. They used to be such a great product!!!

I was soo hopeful for these! And followed instructions to shrink/fit to my bottle, didn’t work! :( now I have two super cool (looking) bottle bands sitting in my drawer.

Doesn’t hold bottle. Had to use hot glue gun to cause a grip effect. Isn’t the strap in the picture.

The only mystery is you cant pick your color, but it's great!
