Review: Functional, Nice-Looking, but Brittle - I bought two, and they were absolutely fantastic. Balance is solid, and it is the size advertised, handle is comfortable and the guard functioned fine. However, the material isn’t very reliable, as the front of the guard broke off after two sparing sessions of use and practice against the other grosse messer I bought. Wouldn’t recommend based off how brittle it was, it feels like I just rented it.

I bought two, and they were absolutely fantastic. Balance is solid, and it is the size advertised, handle is comfortable and the guard functioned fine.
