Thoroughly Underwhelmed
I ordered this after giving away my other keychain pen. I was on the fence between this and the valiant concepts pen. If you are like me, you have spent over 20 hours reading every review for every obscure keychain pen on the planet and stumbled across this product.I ordered it hoping my search was finally over. Sadly, this pen is just ok. I'm not returning it, because it does function, but I'm not buying a second one, ever. If it was better I'd get quite a few for the other nerds I know. The biggest problem is the mass production design. It's cheaper to bore a straight hold in a metal than create a curved shaft which would adequately secure the writing implement. Since the ink cartridge is secured only by a rubber o-ring, the ink cartridge has a tiny bit of wobble inherent to the design which I find uniquely annoying. I took a few photos to show you what I mean.In photo 1 you see everything included in the package. (including the spare tiny o-ring)In photo 2 you see the gap of space around the casing and the ink cartridge. This gap is a sore spot for me.In photo 3 you see the schematic that is included with the pen that shows the poor design. This pen is worth twenty bucks including prime shipping AT MOST. Its current price point is only sustainable in the short term because it is a niche product with a newness factor. Without some sap selling store from kickstarter I doubt people would order many of these if say, they were shipped directly from china at five bones a pop.For the person still reading who insists on the very best design and function, I am sorry to report that only real option out there is either the valiant concepts pen (which is better than this one, but has its own limitations) or the fischer space pen (bullet style) from the U.K. with lanyard. You'll find it on the UK Amazon site.Best of luck on the continued search for the perfect EDC keychain pen.

Keychain Pens Comparison
I carry a keyring of small EDC tools separate from my actual keys. I have a Leatherman Squirt, a whistle, a pen, and a flashlight. For a pen, for years I had an original Inka pen that I loved but couldn't find a replacement ink cartridge for it since the original version of the pen by the Inka name is long discontinued. This was a great pen and could be assembled into a full size pen if need be. Next, I briefly tried a True Utility telescoping pen. While the smallest of the keychain pens, that pen is so thin that its difficult to hold; and the ink was terrible, the thing wouldn't lay down ink most of the time. Next, I used a Fisher Trekker for over a year. That pen was pretty good, though I would prefer a smaller pen. The Trekker finish had developed a few chips in the painted on finish and I was looking to replace it.I came across the TT PockeTTools pen. I purchased it in copper. The pen is about the same length as the Inka but slightly slimmer. The machined copper looks great; it is easily the best and most interesting looking of the bunch. It is however, clearly the heaviest of the bunch - though probably in aluminum its more competitive in that regard. I am quite satisfied with the pen size and functionality wise. I expect it to be on my keychain for a long time.

Not made of copper, just copper plated
This pen is copper plated not actually made of copper.

Very cool pen
Nice and solid brass. The space pen refill just loads in to the end ... very simple. I do wish there was a better way to keep the little o-ring in ... but it doesn't fall out, so you just have to mind your o-ring when changing the ink. It's a good size, the threads are nicely done, and it stays clean inside. One Suggestion for improvement: machine the inside of the cap to properly seat the little o-ring that you have on the ink cartridge. It's really not a big deal to seat it, but using the cap for that function would be really awesome!

Nice size and quality workmanship. I like that it can use the Fisher refill for writing anywhere.

Plus it looks great. I highly recommend this as a simple
I backed this maker's Kickstarter campaign and pledged for the brass and copper pens. They have exceeded my expectations. They were obviously made with care and are of high quality. I put the brass version on my keychain immediately and have carried it for several months. It is always there when I need it. Plus it looks great. I highly recommend this as a simple, elegant, and well made EDC implement. Plus, the maker is highly conscientious and committed to ensuring his customers are satisfied.

Great EDC pen!
Bought one of these in brass on the Kickstarter campaign. For me, it's the perfect every day carry pen. I've tried others, had one for years built into my Victorionox Swiss Army knife, but never really liked them. This one is just small enough to put on my keychain, and just big enough to actually write with. I wouldn't want to write a novel with it, but it's great for those emergencies when you need to jot something down. Love the turned brass. Highly recommended.
