We’ve had this toy for over a year now and I’m buying a new one to replace it. As a tug toy, it is the longest lasting one I’ve ever found! Ours is broken now from a combination of chewing and tugging. I started to put the toy away when we are not tugging because he will sit and chew pieces off. It is not indestructible, but for tug of war, it lives up to the name and lasts much longer than a rope tug (which he also likes to chew up). The other dog in our house wouldn’t touch it though so they never tugged together with this one. Not sure why he didn’t like it but my dog loves it.

My Pit got a new box of toys today. His favorite was an elk antler. Next was this toy. It looked very sturdy and I thought I had finally found something she couldn't destroy. I was wrong. She has chewed several chunks out already. I guess we will give it another day or two, but, so far I am disappointed.

I have 2 dogs that love tug of war. The problem was finding something they could not destroy in a couple of days. I found this on Amazon and thought it looked durable. It is durable, well at least for my dogs. I have a mini schnauzer 27lbs and a mini schnauzer mix 18lbs. I know they are small but when they get to pulling and shaking their heads none of their toys have held up. I have tried other brands such as kong, but even those will fall apart after repeated abuse. I was worried about the material of this toy, that maybe the dogs would be able to chew it up. That has not happened and It does not appear to even have any damage from their teeth. I also like how it has a place I can grab it without my hand having to go near any chewing teeth. This product seems to be made very well and I am hopeful it will hold up for a long time. I am very happy with the quality of this product, and I will definitely be looking for this brand going forward for future purchases.

I really like this toy and my English Bulldog does too! He is the destroyer of toys so I have been looking really hard for something really durable that isn't a Nylabone. I don't let him chew on this and it goes up and away when we are not playing with it. If used just for tug of war its really great! However I do have a concern that it may snap in the middle with really strong dogs such as bulldogs, rotweilers etc. Had several play sessions and barely even a scratch! Infinitely longer lasting that many other tug of war toys based on that account.

My lab dog chewed it less an hour into half piece and it's not strong toy!

Purchased 2, the first was chewed apart on one side of the center circle (within 15 minutes), then the other side pulled apart while tugging. Thinking that it probably only came apart because one side had already been separated from the chewing, I took the loss and bought another and made sure that it was never chewed and only used for tug of war, but it also split apart the first time (within 10 minutes of tugging). My dogs are each about 70lbs.However, I submitted a request for that one to be returned and they accepted (they may have also refunded the first, but I never requested that).

My dog CoCo is about 60lbs, but chews like a pit bull & is very anxious if she's not chewing on something constantly. Saying that this toy is definitely gonna hold up for probably years. It's an easy grip for you & doesn't hurt when playing tug war, great quality, worth every penny, she plays with the toy by herself too throwing it around.

It's survived Jimi Guitar Hero! Jimi, our GSD/rotti/pibble mix, destroys most toys within minutes. This tug toy is great because there's no rope for him to cut through. The magical material this is made of is one of two we've found that he doesn't rip apart quickly. No weird smell to the bouncy but firm plastic either. If you have a more aggressive chewer, this might be worth your purchase. Folks with dogs that best all their toys need to work together to find those durable toys. It's tricky. This toy is pretty great so far. We received the toy quickly and it is indeed pretty tough. We don't let Jimi sit there and gnaw on it for extended lengths of time, though, and that is helpful for longevity. Toy care is part of being a dog mom or dad.
