Backcountry Tackle Fly Fishing Lanyard

This is a great product especially for the price. The quality of the materials used for the lanyard is high. My only concerns are that it seems a little short to me. I am thinking of extending the length a little so that it is easier to use. I am also thinking of replacing the swivel fasteners with keyrings or carabiners.

Was a gift for my husband. He liked the look, the quality, but would have liked it to be longer. When he uses the tools hooked to it, he has to take them off the lanyard or work under his nose.
