So far these work great! They are generics and don't have the X pattern mold (the original is the picture) that the originals have but I don't notice a difference, and I play a lot with both to know. The top is soft slightly different but way better than not having anything there. Others have said it for the original analog stick that it made a clicking noise when rotated 360° but mine never made that noise to begin with so I have no idea what they are talking about. I highly recommend this product. FYI though, you'll need to look up instructions on how to install them if you don't already know because it doesn't come with any.

The caps fits perfecty in the controller, really easy to install, the screwdriver is good, good overall.

In comparison with the original GC controller parts, these are noticeably lesser in quality.The plastic isn't as dense and the color of the grey is a slight bit darker than the original parts.The rubber caps on the control stick are slightly thicker at the top and are just stretched over the stick. You'll need to file some slots into the original control stick plastic in order to make the rubber caps fit on top.The control stick is slightly higher than the original control stick which will affect your playing style. It's enough to notice the difference but over time you might just adapt to it or even prefer it. Depends on your personal play style.The c-stick controls are also slightly off color to the original c-stick. The quality of the plastic of these are also noticeably less dense. The height of these c-sticks are about the same as the original however, so there's practically no difference in how they feel when you use these.All this said, the parts do fit into the controller no problem, and the tri-wing screwdriver is a great addition to this bundle. Just be aware if you're especially picky about your controller that these aren't as good as the original hardware.

Every third party or knock off controller has had the WORST control sticks. Usual complain is feeling like cheap plastic, hard rubber, no grip. These actually feel almost identical to the OEM Nintendo Gamecube sticks. You will notice the base is a bit smaller than the original so you can see a gap when the analog stick is pushed far left/right etc. but functionally they are perfect.

I am not going to lie to you guys I was scared to purchase these, I read nothing but the negative reviews and I kept thinking to my self do I want to take a 9.00 loss right now. I was searching around the internet for other options but everywhere I looked bad reviews. I took a leap of faith and made the purchase and wow can I say I am amazed. I dont know why other people were claiming that theirs did not fit their controller maybe they received some defects but mine are perfect too literally less than 10 minutes for me to change 2 controllers and they went trashy to classy within that time. I compared the feeling of my old C stick to the new One it felt the same no difference noticed. The joy stick feels good no spaces nothing holding it back or restrictions I am most likely going to purchase 3 more just to make sure I have them later on for the future. Do not second guess this purchase I have written alot of bad reviews in my time on Amazon and I am happy to say this is not one of those.So here is an update I have had these pieces a little less than a month, already they have basically withered away the once new feel that you got with your controller in gone there is no grip its almost like they are made out of the same thing pencil erasers are made from and the more you use them they rub away until nothing else is there. Very dissatisfied.

Just for anyone who didn't read the product description like I did, these aren't just covers for the joysticks but replacement joysticks that require full disassembly of the gamecube controller to install. That being said, it's not really hard to do and the replacements are solid and grippy.

Generally speaking: this product seemed like a good idea at the time of purchase. I mean, I have 2 GC controllers with both sticks needing some general TLC, and the price seemed like a decent start.Welp. I got what I paid for, I suppose.I only needed the sticks, and for the moment I’d say they fit the bill, though looking at the innards of the caps themselves lack structure like the original caps, which definitely feels a tad bit off, but ultimately they work.Something that definitely needs to be noted is that the screwdriver that is included is definitely a double edged sword. While it was handy to use and allowed me to momentarily not break out my personal controller kit, I ultimately moved away from using it because of the flashing on the handle, which was really rough on the palms. It really feels like they just sorta cut off some it but didn’t want to cut further or sand it because, I don’t know, maybe they already put the branding on and they didn’t want to remove it? Maybe they just didn’t wanna ruin the gloss of the parts that didn’t have really have any flashing? I don’t know, but it did sorta make it less of a plus.I am probably gonna get different stick caps in the future, and I will probably be a little bit more astute about it.

My Wavebird controller got chewed up, largely destroying the thumbstick. I was super disappointed until I found this kit. I only ended up using the one thumbstick, but the tri-wing screwdriver was exactly the right size and the replacement was super quick and easy (though I did briefly put some of the buttons back upside down!). Now I have more replacement parts ready to go if there's another chewing incident in the future!
