Works sufficiently.
I bought these after doing extensive research on the best way to refurbish your old/overused gamecube controllers. These were unanimously determined as the "lowest tier" control stick replacements. I purchased these knowing that, expecting the worst. What did I get? Replacement control sticks that are more than sufficient. They fit the controller perfectly, the plastic is comparable but cheaper than the originals, and the rubber tops are grippy enough. I also confirmed after a few test plays, that these are "clicky" enough. Some reviewers had mentioned they are much softer when you hit the edges of the control stick socket, I found them to make some clicky sounds.I've only had them for a couple hours, and I don't intend to put hundreds of hours into each of these like I would have back in my college days. So for my casual gaming uses they are MORE than sufficient. The $12 I spent on these is well worth it, and you get the invaluable Y-tip screwdriver as well.A note on the "notch" cutout on the OEM part -- these don't have it. It's there to avoid hitting a little metal solder piece that's right next to the control stick housing. I'm not sure if it even needs it, considering the dome part is shallower than the OEM, but I EASILY cut out a small notch using a razorblade. Took me all of 30 seconds. These work well. They get my recommendation.

A Decent Aftermarket Part For Casuals
For whatever reason, the thumbsticks on an old Gamecube controller I bought second hand started wearing down. The rubber pads on top were sticky, for some reason!I bought these, as they seemed to be the best value for money for replacement sticks. For casuals, I think they're perfectly fine. The rubber on the top of the left stick is kinda soft and weak, but it doesn't "peel" away like an eraser, which I've had these do.Hardcore Smash Players will likely wear these down eithin weeks or even days, though.Something of note is that the C-sticks are hard plastic instead of rubber-capped. This makes moving the camers harder than it needs to be in a lot of cases. Also, the holes that you slide the shaft of the joystick rocker in aren't shaped or "notched" quite right, and are more universal. This makes them a little hard to get on the controller, but they're nice and solid once they're on.Finally, the shape isn't quite the same. The "cap" of the stick is rounder and narrower, while the shaft its on is longer. I like thos, as it feels more precise.Overall, these have worked just fine for me, but I would look further if you're a pro Smash Player.--Zach W

Great short term replacement and working screwdriver
Pros: screwdriver is a great thing to be included, easy to replace the parts. The replacements fit great and feel good.Cons: the joystick wore down pretty quick. After a few weeks of playing a few hours per day, the ridges were almost gone on the L joystick. They also left these little rubber things that looked like tiny eraser shavings. I was playing super smash bros. which requires a lot of quick and sometimes forceful movements, so maybe it wore off quicker than if you would play games that don't require that. Overall, they feel great at first but I would not recommend for long term replacement.Disclaimer: I didn't try out the C-stick replacements yet, only the L joystick.

Good In A Pinch
I bought these to repair my Smash Bros controllers. I had to use super glue to make the stick stay on the little metal bar it sits on because the holes on the back of these are too big for the modern Wii U wireless fight pad controllers. I did like the addition of the tiny screwdriver. It helped a great deal.

Great replacement sticks!
Getting heavy use, the controllers at my local gamer/geek tavern were showing heavy wear on the sticks. Bought this kit to refresh them. The included screwdriver was great, installation was easy, and the controllers feel like new again!Recommend also purchasing new contact pads for the full controller restoration.

Meh
It’s alright. The included screw driver sucks

Sticks are shorter than standard GameCube sticks, and the rubber on them falls off really fast.
The length of the sticks are shorter than normal sticks, causing the sides of them to rub weirdly against the sides. I was able to fix this by putting the tiniest fleck of a cut up plastic card into the hole to increase the height by just a millimeter or so.Additionally, the rubber on these sticks are not good. I bought these because the rubber on the original sticks had come off and my thumb was getting sore from playing on the raw plastic sticks. These sticks do not fix that problem. I just replaced my sticks with the last of the 3 in this pack and the c-stick rubber fell off within 20 minutes. Granted, I'm playing a fighting game so I'm using the sticks more aggressively than the average player would for much less intense game, but I'd still expect them to last a fair amount of time considering stock GameCube controller sticks keep their rubber, even with intense use, for several months if not years.
