Perfect for Harmony Hub or legacy Harmony RF-based Remotes (Need mono 2.5 to 3.5 adapter)
Purchased this to improve a new Logitech Harmony Elite remote setup I installed in my bedroom in place of a Harmony 900. With the old 900 remote, it had RF to IR for my equipment in my closet, but my TV and Receiver which are both outside of cabinet the other equipment was in required line of site IR.With the new remote I wanted to improve that so I didn't have to point at the devices (especially useful when shutting everything down so equipment isn't accidentally left on), and so people or whatever walking by or whatever wouldn't accidentally block the signal which happened occasionally relying on line of site IR.To install on a harmony setup you will need a mono 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, in addition to this IR emitter. This company offers these in 1, 2 and 3 emitter cables, mine was the 2 emitter version. Installation past that is a breeze. The entire length of the cable can be split basically all the way to the 3.5 connector on the end, which is very useful for installs like mine where I have one side of the IR blaster going through the wall to my wall mounted TV, and the other into a cabinet with my AV receiver. The IR emitter covers do a great job of not only helping to hold the emitter on (which can be a problem when mounting an emitter by itself, especially over time), but also blocking from unwanted signals from reaching the devices and ensuring that what you send gets through. IR can be a little sketchy, but this low priced item has made my IR reliability near 100% after many months of daily use (early July)... and what failures there were I wouldn't be surprised if they were on the Logitech side.Don't listen to poor reviews on these, they are from people using these in an incorrect configuration the majority of the time. These are not active in anyway, they require the device it's connected to to be capable of SENDING IR commands. These just take that signal and emit them to the device you're trying to control. These do not receive direct IR signals from a remote and pass them onto another device, don't generate signals on it's own, etc. Most common misapplication is purchasing these to connect directly to a cable/satellite settop box that almost guaranteed is an IR input, not an IR output, this product does not do that. Nothing is worse than 1 star reviews from people who purchase a product for the incorrect application and then blame the product.

Very good - good adhesive and extra adhesive pads
Worked just fine plugged into my NextGen (as source for signal) and one eye to my Dish receiver and the other to my Yamaha audio receiver. The eye adhesive is very strong (yet of the gummy variety so it can be "rolled" off if you need to relocate the eye). And they provide extra adhesive pads - very thoughtful.

Wonderful!
Works beautifully with my Samsung 8550 UHD TV, to control my Cisco cable box and Pioneer amp/receiver. The TV remote is the wand style (non-IR, motion controlled bluetooth), so I can now change the volume on the receiver from anywhere. I purchased the two-eye, not sure if the TV could sufficiently drive the 3+ eye emitters.

Not worth it.
Just plain stopped working after 4 months. Have bought another to see if in fact the cord is what is faulted but I've tried everything else. Do not buy unless you enjoy things not working for no reason after a short period of time.

Excellant processing and delivery
I am very happy with the response that I received from Steve. When I mentioned that the price of the item went up from $4.99 to $6.99 overnight, Steve was quick to respond with information that the product had been on sale and was not anymore. Steve did issue us a credit for the $2.00 as soon as he read my review and I received the credit to my bank to my bank account the next day. Thanks Steve for the great product and the very conscientious customer service.

Ir great
It works great and was a good price. The cable is long enough to reach around things. I like that it had extra stickers too.

Good but far from great
I purchased the product for use with an Xbox One. The one emitter worked like a charm with my Samsung 60" (UN60H7150AFXZA) however not so much with my Cisco rng150n cable box. I was ready to blame Microsoft for not being compatible with my cable box. Then in a last bit of effort I switched out this product with the one provided with the TV (which i had previously working with my cable box) and everything worked perfectly. Knowing that the remote codes on the Xbox were correct I again tried this product (as I needed two emitters). After about 45 minutes of moving the emitter around on the face of the cable box, finding a spot that worked, sticking it and then it no longer working, I found an exact spot that works somewhat consistently. All and all while my OEM samsung emitter can work from 2 or 3 inches away from the front of the box. The placement of this product must be absolutely perfect. When testing positions I determined that even me holding the emitter would cause for a false positive for a good position. Also the housing on one of the emitters, seemed to be defective as the external cover did not meet the base plate where the adhesive pad was attached. In summary I paid the premium for what I hoped would be a better product when in actuality I probably could have got away with something cheaper. I probably would try a different manufacturer even if similarly priced in the future as I was far from impressed with this product.
