This product seems to be of the highest grade American Ginseng - not Asian or Korean Ginseng. I just received this product, so I cannot say yet if it works for me. I normally take Panax Ginseng in the morning which definitely gives me added energy; but I have read that American Ginseng is a good type for women to take & is cooling, so I am going to try it. I received the product within two days & in fine shape as described. One of the reasons I picked this brand was because there are no additives. You get only Ginseng in a capsule. Nothing added to it.

I often use panax ginseng which has a diff affinity for your body according to TCM theory. I knew I needed American ginseng but I had difficulty sourcing a good quality at an affordable price. I had been using Ginseng for years. Figured the Chinese lived to be on up in their years with clear minds. Was using product from other countries.My Acupuncture lady is Chinese and I told her I had quit Ginseng due to the fact I was perspiring so heavy, just doing housework.She said to get the American Ginseng it was not as strong.No heavy perspiration and am getting the benefits that Ginseng offer for health and well being after changing to this product.

Update:I've received a bad batch and the product is non refundable. Whenever I take a supplement I chew as that increases the effectiveness. This batch, as compared to the prior two purchased, tastes wretched. I cannot eat this. I spit it out. I love bitter. Something tastes wrong.Had I received a refund, a replacement, or even a friendly hello, I would not have touched my five star rating.Risky product to take as far as I can tell. It is often said many growers of ginseng use tremendous amounts of chemicals to produce their product (if it's not organic).
