These pots are not meant to last forever and that is PRECISELY what I need. I have little pots that are far stronger than these ones as you can see in the video. In those colorful pots, the roots grow out the bottom and I don’t want to damage the roots so I must use sharp scissors to cut open the pot. It literally takes me a half hour to cut out each plant. Yet, these plants that I raise only grow well if I leave them in the pot until the roots grow out the holes so I must leave them in the pots until this happens! If I move plants up to the next sized pot before the roots completely grow out the holes, the plant rots! So, these black pots are FAR SUPERIOR compared to the colorful pots for that issue. These black pots are thin but strong. They don’t rip. However, I can cut them with scissors which is perfect. They function well. The height of these is FANTASTIC. You can see how much taller they are compared to the other pots. This height gives me a bit more time between watering. It also gives room for the roots to grow Deeper which is So Important for plant health. This makes it so that when I move the plant up to the next pot size, it acclimates better and I have fewer losses. I really, really appreciate how this size allows me to use my 10x20” flats perfectly. I have to move my flats a lot so when they fit this well, the plants don’t fall down while I’m moving them. So, these black pots value for the money spent is great for me. They look nice enough, like a black nursery pot, which is fine for me in my circumstances.

They are decent pots but definitely not as heavy-duty as something like Bootstrap farmer sells. I have their 32-cell square hole inserts and I was hoping these pots fit them nicely. Unfortunately, they do not sit nicely in the insert, the pots are too far off the bottom. I would say these are half-way between a nice sturdy plastic pot and the flimsy, thin plastic you would be lucky to get more than one use out of.

Perfect for potting up seedlings getting ready for the garden and last frost

I have purchased from this seller before, and I find them to be very reliable. The walls of these pots are a little thin, but I prefer it this way as I can flex the sides to remove plants. They are strong enough to be cleaned and re-used several times. I have hundreds of these in use and I regard them as essential.

These are the perfect size for sharing extra winter sown seedlings! No need to up-pot to 4" pots to give away, these are the solution. Or to give the seedlings a little time after you separate them from the initial container, but before you plant in the garden. Good pricing. Just wish Amazon also offered the matching trays to hold them as well.

Perfect size and shape.

I love them because they maximize the amount of seedlings you can grow out in a 10x20 tray, (32) and they have enough volume partly due to being taller to take most seedlings to where you want them for outdoor time. I would describe the quality as "normal"- not too sturdy but not silly flimsy or badly molded. Have not had any crack that I can recall so far (bought the first batch about a year ago, and some of them even wintered outside.)
