Great Little Light... With some KICK!
Quick overview: This is a very good little light. Its major benifit is it's size, brightness, and ability to zoom. Its major drawback (for it's over all package) is the battery life. Quality and durability are great!More Detail, Brightness: I was impressed by the brightness. I have been "into" flashlights for a long time, just going with the guy thing. Ooo shinny! This is the brightest I have owned yet. You will not find a comparable item in the stores currently. Northerntool, harborfreight, Gandermountain, FarmandFleet, Cabela's... Ect. I have been to all of them and have found (at best) 150ish lumen comparable lights, at twice the price. I work in a metal foundry and it is dark, dusty and terrible for lighting conditions. That being said, I rarely need the full power this can produce. The nice part is, I can zoom the light out about half way, and get a very even and still very bright light. It's still bright when you zoom it all the way out, but it begins to get the dim spot in the middle. I have a 3W LED Maglight with 4 D cell batteries. This light is "about" as bright for general use. It has a larger head and is more focusable. Side by side, the maglight lags behind in size, brightness, and weight. It obviously has better battery life. That should give you something to compair.Battery Life: I bought this light at the same time a some rechargeable CR123A batteries. On an 8hr work day, If I use the light only several times, it will be fine for the day. If I am working on a project where I need it to be on nearly the whole day, I will drain the batteries in about 6 hours. For the work I do this is ok. I can go to my toolbox and change the batteries out for the ones on the charger and keep going. For someone who is going camping with this, it may be a consern. I would not want to be in the woods at night and have my flashlight needing batteries changed several times in a weekend.Size: I mentioned a Maglight I have for comparison. The Nu-Flare 77R92L is much smaller, lighter and easier to carry. I keep mine in the pocket of my work shirt. When I am bogged down by a large tool bag, uniform, safety equipment, ect... I really like having a small light that has this much punch.Comparing to other lights of its caliber, I am suprized this light only mentions the use of the 2 CR123A batteries. Other lights mention being able to use 2 of those OR 1 18650 battery. I am going to contact the manufacture before using anything different, but it "may" give you a little extra life. Its also nice it is made in the US. I don't get all bent out of shape when something is not now days. It seems enough US companies are "farming" out work to other countries that its hard to get upset.ALL and ALL: My Nu-Flare flashlight has become a very valued addition to my tools. I use it 5-6 days a week and have been very happy. It puts up to being dropped, its well sealed, I really like the zoom, it stays pretty bright all the way up to a dead battery. It seems to be a good value. It may not be perfect for everyone's situation or use, but I imagine it would work really well for most people.

Great Flashlight!!!
Overall a very good flashlight. I was searching for a tactical switch flashlight for some time, but this one seems to be one of the best ones. It produces a very powerful, bright, and even light. Manual says "don't look directly for more than a few seconds" - I'm actually unable to look directly at it at all. I love focusing beam - very versatile and handy. Looks to be well built, time will show. I can't comment on battery life because never owned flashlight which used CR123, but specs look good. Just a note: this flashlight is very compact - about 4 inches long. I was expecting tactical flashlight to be bigger and heavier. That turned out to be a BIG plus - compact and light, no need for separate holster to hold it, simply fits in your pocket.Pros: bright and even light; focusing beam; tactical switch; very bright light and good throw; excellent price for high-tech light.Cons: no separate lens covering the element; only tail cap screws off, head is fixed; does not look to be waterproof; no accessories (besides batteries and lanyard)

great value and it's bright!
This LED flash light is bright, bright enough (210 lumens). I was thinking of getting the fenix spotlight which is WAY brighter (900 lumens) than this flashlight, but I didn't want to spend too much $110 on a flashlight, so I got this one, instead. This flashlight is really good, it's durable and well built. The straps that came with it sucks crap so I used my own strap. I tested this out and it works! I got a bowl of water and submerged it for 10 min and still works. The downside is that the batteries used in this flashlight is expensive... A good powerful flashlight like this needs a good power source like the 3.0v lithium batteries not some crappy 1.5v double AA battery. It's pricey. $1 or $2 per battery. So I got the rechargeable battery which came with the charger. It's great value, 4 rechargeable battery and a charger. I wished this flashlight used the 18650 battery instead of the CR123A battery. because a single 18650 battery holds more juice (mAh) than 2xCR123A batteries. the 18650 is better. but oh well this flash light works good and it's perfect. My friends and other people were amazed of how bright this flash light is, they were asking me if they can keep it, haha. I am planning to give them the flashlight as a gift and birthday present! even the tow truck driver loved it and kept asking me if he can keep it. haha. This flashlight is the best And SureFire is way overpiced$$$$$$Pro-Very Bright-Small/Compact/light weight-Well built, durable-Water proof-Comes with non-rechargeable two CR123A Duracell Lithium Battery!Con-Expensive battery-Does not use the 18650 battery-Strap sucks and comes off (need to supply your own strap)Tips:-Buy Tenergy CR123A charger-Use the 900mAh CR123A Rechargeable battery (It's rechargeable battery (900mAh) with the most capacity that I know of so far)-The Tenergy Rechargeable Battery has to be drained out couple of times (leave the flash light on till the battery dies out). Then finally you can charge it to it's FULL capacity.-Keep the 2xCR123A Duracell Battery as a spare/emergency battery
