inexpensive Ebonite pen
I ordered the Maroon, and received the Brown. I'd prefer the Maroon, but the Brown was nice enough it wasn't worth returning it to India and waiting two months for the exchange. It wrote a bit on the dry side, a quick line - like slashing a "t" would cause it to run dry and speckle. I spread the nib tines apart just a hair and it writes great now. It's a pretty fine point, and it holds a lot of ink, so it will write for a long time on one fill. It's an eyedropper, so no cartridge or converter, just fill up the body of the pen. The threads need to be sealed with silicone grease and there was some grease on the threads, but I added a little more to be safe. This is the stuff you need: Silicone Grease - 2oz . The cap seals well so it doesn't dry out if you leave it unused for a few days. This was the only ebonite pen at this price point that has an ebonite grip section, and it feels very nice to write with.

Construction of cap and barrel threading poorly made.
I love Indian pens. Prefer them to other pens by far. But this pen is no comparison to other CLICK or GAMA pens. (On the other hand, it was half the price of my other CLICK and GAMA pens.)I expected more from CLICK. The cap was not carefully aligned with the barrel. Had to carefully scrape away inside of the opening of the cap and one side of the barrel to get a fit. Must be careful not to cross-thread the cap. The threads feel "gritty" when opening and closing it. Not a smooth writing nib.Would not buy again.
