Qody PCI-E Extension Cable: 1X to 16X (powered) for Mining

Not saying this product is no good, just will not work with my setup. I havent given up, I will try another type of card in it when I can and update this review, but the only extra ones I have are 5450's right now.I wanted to expand to 3 monitors, I only have 1 x16 slot but 2 empty 1x slots, so I bought this hoping to plug in another radeon 5450. This 2nd card was never detected, either at boot or in windows. It's not in device manager, either as working or having a problem, not listed in display manager or in catalyst control center.This brings my choices down to a usb to vga, but my computer only has usb2 ports so bandwidth is limited, finding an old pci video card, buying a new 1x video card or buying a new main card that supports 3+ monitors. All costing more than I wanted to spend on this little project.

if you're building a mining system with six video cards and you accidently did what I did and purchased the short PCIe 16x buy one x PCI riser cards then this well complete your system for two of the six short persist once I have to recommend getting this it will work perfectly and give you the distance needed.below is a paste of my video card reviewquick to arrive and ordered 6 of these bad-mam-bo-jamba's works fantastic! Two the six cards I get a full 700;), the other two I get 663 which is fine for now! the lasttwo of the six cards overheats constantly trouble.I have spoken with XFX they are sending two replacement cooling systems and with new fans! I'm the mean time I'm using external fans to cool the gpu, I had trouble with the two cards from day one from hooking them up etc to configuration. ok just barely comprehended the RPM's on both graphics cards givingme ttrouble the whole month were not the same as the other working four Cards! Bought 2, one with sealed bag and one opened bag. The one opened bag was defected. Don't recommended to anyone

If you need one, this does a great job. It's definitely a niche market; NAS or other device that needs a temporary video card or the like for installation but the card will not fit on the motherboard slot.

If you're buying this, you know what its for. I've had risers burn out on me before, but this are very well made.

For this riser cable, where would you plug in the molex cable, the GPU or what, sorry i'm new to mining :)
