In the past year, we've bought over TWO DOZEN "amber" bulbs and clip-on book lights. Almost all of them aren't true amber (1600K), but soft white/yellow (around 2100K). But they advertise as "amber." So if you want to use them in low light settings, you get way too much light. While we've found true amber bulbs (hard to find), they give off so much light they're not suitable for a low light setting. This clip on book lamp starts at "high" but with two more presses of its button turns down to a very mellow, low light, true amber that's extremely gentle on the eyes near bedtime.The horizontal orientation of the LED's also provides a broader light stage to see by better. And we appreciate having a 3 x AAA battery unit because all the other USB-rechargeables we've bought die far too quickly, leaving us without light when we need it.Our only complaint about this unit is the goose neck. It's not as flexible as others. It seems to have a preference for remaining in just a few positions (head down facing battery pack, preferably straight out or slightly to either side). The goose neck doesn't like bending into a clean arc to position the light liberally. But for this, this little book light would be a perfect 5 for us. Still, a very good buy at this price--and we'll buy more.

I have some other lights that I use for online teaching, but they are not very portable, so I needed a more portable alternative. This was it--and it works well. I bought this for a class I teach in a rather dark classroom. I have to teach online and face-to-face students simultaneously, and I needed a small portable light to attach to the top of the monitor. This works very well for that. It is small, lightweight, is mounted on a very flexible arm so you can direct the light wherever you want it. Also, the fact that the light is amber is no problem--in fact, the amber light is more flattering than a while light. There are three settings, so you can decide how much light you want. Also, you can use batteries, plug it into your computer, or plug it into the wall, so offers flexibility in how you can use it. Sometimes, I even take it to bed as a reading light if I happen to be reading a paper book. I am thinking of buying a second just for reading in bed. All in all, a nice light for a reasonable price . . . and it does make a rather romantic glow when used as a bedroom reading light!

This may well be the best deal on Amazon. You can't beat $6 for a music light to clip to your music stand or wherever you want. The light itself is a 3 way bright-to-dim yellow kind of light that's warm and peaceful. The neck is sturdy enough to stay put wherever you bend it. The button is brilliantly located in the perfect place... look for it! ha The whole thing is small and very useful!Big thanks to the maker of this wonderful little light.

The light from the lamp is a pale blue, quite pleasant. I lacked lighting over the kitchen sink area (apartment). Chopping vegetables over the sink was difficult because the only light was ceiling, room center and my body shadowed the cutting board. I placed the lamp on top of a cabinet and angled it downward over the sinks to illuminate the area. The lamp has a nice, heavy base with no risk of tipping over, and the cord is long enough that I can run it down the opposite side of the cabinet to reach the countertop and plug in. I'm very happy with it.

Purchased this for my daughter. She was in pit orchestra for high school play. Lights provided by school were not very bright, so she asked if she could get a new one. This was perfect, allowed her to see music in the dark theater while not distracting the audience from the play. Now she can also use it as a reading lamp.

I was very impressed with the reviews on this product so i decided to purchase it. I have used mighty brite stand lights for years but always seem to have problems. I like the durability of Lumiens L9B and the brightness of it. I just recieved this item , so my first gig is this weekend using it. I play 3 to 4 weekends a month with my band so i pretty sure this will solve my light problems reading charts all night.

Pretty well built lamp, and works perfectly for music sheet illumination at the piano. The two "hi-lo" light settings are distinct, but the brighter setting could use being even a little brighter. Still, I can see where orchestra pit players would like that, as they wouldn't want to project too much light. Also the dual mode power (battery or AC) is a plus for flexibility of placement.

Purchased on March 9, 2021. I have really enjoyed using this book light. It is superior to my previous book light. There are three brightness levels. I read while my husband sleeps with the least bright level. I cannot comment on the battery level since I’ve only had it six or eight weeks but I read every night for a minimum of 30 minutes.
