Very Scammy Setup
This is very disappointing. In order to operate you need to download software from their website but they put you through all kinds of loops gathering your persona; data and then the download doesn't even function.I am sending it back.

Works well, just need to center text
Works well on flat surface. Main problem is that the documents it produces are saved as text files and I don't seem to get them into the Samsung Notes format I prefer.

Not as useful as I thought it would be
I thought I would find this a lot more useful to use for creating study notes. I wanted to scan equations but it wasn't that great at reading the formulas. I used it a few times and would consider this a waste of money for me. I think it would work better for simple text that doesn't have symbols and subscripts.

bizarre interface; manuals reads like it was written by a martian
OK. this pen does work. If you need it, the translation works. The "read aloud" works too. That being said, it is the weirdest interface I've ever seen. The words go into a single line scroll which you then have to click and paste into a useful format, such as Word. You can have it go directly into Word but Word (as an example) has to be up and running. One would think it would have its own screen (similar to Nuance Dragon speak) where the words would go and then you could easily work with the text. The graphics scan is weird. You could not pay a developer to make a more un-user friendly interface. And the legal stuff just keeps popping up. I wish I had bought another scanner. Good grief, don't these people ever get out of the cubes and talk to folks in the real world? Oh, the install is weird too. My windows PC balked at installing it and asked me repeatedly if this was a "safe" application. What is the world are these people doing???

Easy to use!
This new Irispen is great. I’ve own already the previous Irispen translator, but this new version it’s just wow! Easy to use, especially with my iPhone, a great tool for my daily job. I love text to speech!

Didn't work
Useless!Forget about it if you're planning to scan any language other than English or if you're scanning a book
