I purchased these due to the good reviews however I am not impressed
I purchased these due to the good reviews however I am not impressed. When installing the first camera, the antenna snapped off because I tried to point it at an 80 degree angle but there is a design flaw that does not allow you to rotate the camera very far without the back of the antenna hitting the mounting bracket. The setup interface is very confusing and not user friendly either, lots of acronyms and lingo that the everyday user would have no idea what they mean. Also, the wifi distance / reception of the cameras is terrible. I purchased a similar system a few months ago and all cameras had full signal strength in the areas I mounted them in. I returned that kit for unrelated reasons, however I mounted these cameras in the same exact spots and 3 out of 4 of them have 1 bar and the recording is extremely unreliable (freezes for 10 seconds, records for 2 seconds, freezes for 8 seconds, etc). Overall these would probably be an OK choice for someone who is extremely technologically savvy, keeps all the cameras VERY close to the DVR box, and don't care about remote viewing via mobile app or PC and just want to be able to go back and pull footage in case something happens (break in, etc). Otherwise there are much better options out there for the everyday user.
