Tange Ln-3922 Cartridge Bearing Bb 68X110

This replaced a bearing/spindle/cup style bb from a mid 90s MTB turned robust commuter, errand, dog runner..... Having used shimano cartridge bb options in the past, I wanted to go with something that has metal lock rings versus plastic. It spins well right out of the box sans break in time. For a few dollars more than a Shimano option, it seems worth it. I would not hesitate to buy another should the need arise. The only negative is that it is a bit heavy, but I knew that going into the purchase.

The other reviewer is right.. This Tange bearing is way better than the Shimano one. I replaced a Shimano with this one and this one is heavier duty, plus the Shimano only lasted a year. This one is made in Japan, maybe that's why it is superior. Only less than $10 bucks more, but my time is worth something not to have to break out the tools and pull cranks and bottom bearing. I will be purchasing this brand from now on..
