Sent Incorrect Set
Purchased from Niagra. Set was supposed to be a 24 TPI set to replace my old Takagi crank bottom bracket. Looking online at manufacturer specs, Takagi recommends the Tange brand 1 Piece bottom bracket (which is what the listing shows). What arrived would not as expected. I've seen a ton of bottom crank sets, & every one I have ever dealt with has one nut that is slightly larger than the other, which is for slipping over the center of the crank. The set I received from Niagra had 2 exactly size nuts & neither would slip over the center of the crank. I also believe that they sent the incorrect TPI size, as the packaging was marked "28T" as opposed to 24. I contacted Niagra about this & they essentially said I was putting the nut on incorrectly. I did send them a pic showing how the nuts wouldn't slip over the center of the crank, & in all fairness I was in a rush when I took the pic, so it was on backwards in the photo. Flipping them the opposite direction changes nothing. Both nuts are still the same size, & both are still the wrong thread count. Wasted money on this.Even a return would end up costing me money that I shouldn't have to pay. Niagra should honor their products they sell better than that. The set was about $15 total & would cost me $7 or $8 to return, so it is not worth the hassle. Hopefully I can still use *some* of the parts on another crank (the ball bearings & the washers work on most bikes).
