Works great for me
I've used this release for decades (not sure when it was "invented", but I've had/used one for a long time) and I've been bowhunting since 1972. Unfortunately I lost my last one, so this purchase was a replacement, and fortunately it doesn't seem to have changed at all from the original device. I'm used to it, I practice with it, it works well for me. I like to be able to set the release down and do something with my right hand if I necessary (can't do that conveniently with one that's wrapped around your wrist). It works well with or without gloves. I've never had a problem with the knot coming loose or miss-fires. If you hang your bow while hunting, you can hang this release on your string, but you have to be careful when you go to grab it that you don't accidentally hit the trigger as it is sensitive. It's small, light, and easy to carry in your pocket while walking to/from your stand. Some that attach to you wrist are bulky. My first one lasted "forever" with no mechanical problems - until I lost it. :-(

Concho style isn't for everyone
I've used one for years and liked the fist type pull that a concho release gives you. This release is smooth and all but there are a few issues you should be aware of:1) The release doesn't "lock on" to the string so you can hang your bow with release attached to the string on a hook. Any slight wiggling and the release is 15 feet below you at the bottom of your ladder stand.2) DON'T mess with the knot on the end of the release. In fact tie and retie it tight and add extra loops in and check the knot to keep it tight. If the knot is loose you pull pack, the knot slips and your arrow goes "boink" for about 4 feet and the buck laughs as he walks away. True story. No complaint about the product - just user insight.

I really like this release
I really like this release . The handle could be a little stiffer and it could use a wrist strap . I have hunted for thirty years using just finger tabs but now I have a shoulder issue which makes doing that very difficult . This release is so much better than the more conventional releases .

Works great straight out of the box
Works great straight out of the box. Hair trigger can result in it falling off the string easily while walking if your not holding it.

smooth and solid
Best release for the money in my opinion. Easy trigger adjustment and great feel for a hand held release aid.
