Derek Alexander Small Teardrop Bike Pack, Khaki/Black, One Size

I have had this purse for 5 years, and it has been my everyday purse since I purchased it. It is comfortable to wear, has a privacy pocket that sits along your back, for important papers and other flat things. There are 2 pockets on the front that carry most of my small items, including my phone, hair ties, pens, chap stick, epi pen, small snacks, etc. They are fairly spacious. Inside, I have a 3 zippered pouch that I use for my wallet. I am also able to fit in a 33 ounce water bottle, book, camera and an assortment of things I need for that day. An added benefit is that this bag is easy to wipe down with a clorox wipe after shopping and being out in public (because of Covid-19), with no effect on the bag. Even though everything in the purse still works and still looks pretty good, I am back on here to buy a new one because there are some loose threads on the inside that keep getting caught on the zipper. and it is driving me nuts. This is a minor annoyance as I could cut the threads...instead, I am just buying a new one on principle. For the daily use it has gotten since I got it, I don't blame the bag at all and am surprised it has held up as long as it has.

I got the green bag and it is fabulous! It's definitely more structured than shown in picture, so it looks more like a purse than a backpack. It's small and compact, leaves my hands free, and because it's a backpack, it doesn't slip off my shoulders like all shoulder bags do. Because there is a rear compartment (next to my back and under the carrying straps), I don't have to worry about anyone getting to my valuables. This rear compartment is ample enough to carry a large wallet, plus other items you don't want stolen, such as money or passports. Although the bag is compact, there is ample room for all of my "necessities (such as comb, lipstick and other contents of my cosmetic bag)", as well as several conveniences, such as book, bottled water, wet wipes, etc. The front two compartments are large enough for my phone, keys, IPod, and other items that I need to access frequently. Bottom line, this bag is a great buy, and I would highly recommend it. The only negative, is that it doesn't come in more colors!

I ordered two Derek Alexander Small Teardrop Bike Pack, Black/Black bags and received two wallets (pics attached) instead!Would it please be possible to send two bags instead of the two wallets?LOVE the bags I do not need wallets. I hope this was a mixup that the Derek Alexander can fix!

I already have this backpack purse in black and really love it. It’s worn though and the seams are separating. I could not find another black one so I thought I’d try the tan one. Not tan, it’s more green. And the material is totally different, not good. It’s like a weird raincoat material. But the function is great. Same as my original so I’ll keep it. Just wish I could replace my original.

I love the teardrop shape, flat bottom. Even a handle for fast grab and hold when I don't want to sling on my back. High quality build and light, yet very durable nylon material. Zippers are made well. Love the zipper loops they are easy to use and are built to last. This bag can handle the rain too. I use it all the time to cruise around in Cuenca, Ecuador and on trips. Works on the bus, on my bike, on walks or light hikes and even out for a nice evening. It surprisingly holds a lot of stuff inside; water bottle, umbrella, light jacket. Outside pockets - lower; cell and wallet,... upper pocket - keys, lip balm... back pocket great for papers, nexus tablet,, etc... I have it in black and next time I visit the states I'll be bringing back the khaki one.

I bought this for a trip where I was going to be doing a lot of hiking, boating, etc. and I needed to have some things with me but didn't want to carry a purse. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be much larger on the inside than I expected. I was able to carry several water bottles, my wallet, and a few snacks without it being crammed full. It's also very lightweight which was great! I also like that there are several smaller zippered pockets for you to store keys, phones, etc.

Just too small

I have bought two of these, one in black, one in olive green. The zipper compartment against your back is a handy place for valuables like a wallet or passport when traveling. You don't have the worry that someone will unzip a compartment and remove items while you are wearing it. There is a good assortment of smaller compartments and enough room in the larger part to fit a lot of daily necessities. But it's more like a large purse, not useful as a backback for lots of clothes.
