Fischer Meats, Lean Ground Beef, 2 lb, 2x1 lb

I am very picky when it comes to ground beef. In terms of both texture and taste.This is definitely a winner. Very good quality. Great texture. Great taste. Easy to cook. Healthy.

I'll start by saying that I am used to grocery store meats so that is what I am comparing to.Shelf Life - This product is not packaged to hold longer than a couple days. I purchased this on a Friday and used a pound the day it arrived. I then used the other pound 3 days later and the meat had already gone grey & bad.Flavor - Honestly it tastes more like sausage than ground beef. It is possible I'm just used to lower class meat but it didn't taste good in my pasta dish.Texture - Texture was medium to bad

description is just lean, but the meat we received was pretty fatty, probably an 80/20 or higher fat. I wish the description was more clean on the fat percentage. I'd probably buy again to use specifically for meatloaf or meatballs, but it was far too fatty for our sloppy joes without draining off some of the fat.

Been loyal for years. I use the lean ground beef for juicy burgers and the extra lean for sauces, etc.

I hope my poo turns to gold after eating this pricey meat!
