Great Collar - Loop Sizing Tip!
Excellent collar, budget friendly and durable (for most dogs). I bought a size Large 1” last autumn when I adopted, but just purchased a Medium 1” for a better fit and couldn’t be happier! The martingale loop changes size with the collar size!Photos top to bottom: my dog’s flat collar in gray, new Medium collar out of the box without fitting, and the Large collar fitted to my dog so that the martingale loop *when closed* is safely inescapable without choking.Photo 1 shows martingales with closed loop, photo 2 with open loop, and photo 3 is a close-up on the martingale loops to show difference in size between medium and large. My dog’s comfortable collar size for everyday wear is around 17”-18”, and proper closed martingale restraint is at 15.5”. When not leashed, the fitted Large would hang so loose (22”) that she could easily back out and it could shake off in a vigorous game of tug. There was too much slack in the loop!Sizing down to a Medium 1” worked for us because it has a smaller loop. She gets the same secure fit pulled tight, and less wiggle room when loose, making it a safer collar both on and off leash.

FINALLY!!!
This is the first and ONLY collar that could keep my dog from twisting and pulling out of the collar to chase after other dogs. Now she also doesn't pull the leash uncontrollably. It worked so perfectly that I bought a second one. Thank you!

Runs a bit large
I thought it would be much smaller than it was. Which is my bad for not checking the sizing more, but it does fit and works as intended. I’ve not had any issues with craftsmanship or durability.

SIZE DOWN
This collar does exactly what it was designed to do. Looks nice and sturdy. But the sizing is definitely off. We have an 80 lb Weimaraner and I bought the medium after reading the reviews and it honestly could stand to be smaller as I can fit my whole hand through his collar with it on. This dog usually wears a L or XL in collars or harnesses. I will say that despite his efforts to pull and thrash out of it it hasn’t come off. Overall I’m happy with the purchase but glad I sized down.

Martingale collars are essential
I board dogs and require several different sizes of Martingale collars. These are the best. Recent purchase of size medium was for a thick-necked French bulldog. Thank you, Amazon, for letting me try 2 different sizes. The medium was perfect.

Really good collar
Being in dog rescue we have found that martingale collars are the best for our dogs. It keeps them more secure than a regular collar! This is a great value collar.

Great collar
Bought collar over a year ago, it still looks like new. Works great for teaching a dog that isn’t steady to heel yet. Ordering one for our new puppy too!

sturdy but poorly engineered
The size descriptions are deceiving and the loop (the main feature) is designed too long to make sense. We have a boxer with a pretty big neck, 18". So we chose the Large size (13"-20"), thinking that this refers to the adjustment range of the collar. However, it turns out that the shortest you can make it with the loop being "relaxed" is 20". When the loop tightens by pulling on the leash, the overall length can go down to 13". In other words, with a 18" neck, the collar hangs pretty loose even on the shortest setting, basically just held in place by the ears. When you pull on the leash (or the dog gets hung up!) it'll tighten just like a slip leash. Nothing "safer" or more comfortable about this one.

Check the size carefully
I ordered the medium size for my small beagle but it seemed big (and I do understand how the martingale should fit). I contacted the company's customer service department via email and, after some back and forth to confirm the problem, they sent a size small, which works for her. (She seems to be on the borderline for sizes and the martingale hoop on the medium size seemed very big for her.) I'm not sure why the medium size based on the chart measurement didn't work for her but they did resolve the problem. We just received the replacement collar and it seems well-made and reasonably priced (as did the original one). I can't speak to durability and sturdiness at this point but the company does stand by its products! Very nice customer service people!

Sizing inaccurate
Terrible sizing info, I ordered a medium based on measuring my dog.Collar just arrived and does not fit even on the smallest settingI was replacing the same collar he has worn for the last 18 months with no issues so would love to give a great review but such a massive difference in his neck measurement and the collar he would be at risk of slipping out of it, going to try the small one considering the medium is so much bigger the small might actually fit (even though his neck measurement is to large for it!)

Light weight- unlike the metal chained ones, sturdy, snaps quickly, doesn’t hurt your dog
I am super happy after purchasing this one. The other brands in the name of martingale collar offered heavy weight with chains and I didn’t like it. If you are looking for a light weight, sturdy one and in every sense a true martingale collar which doesn’t hurt your dog, please go for this. Max, my german shepherd loved it.
