Works, effective, does it job
It does what it says. Doesn't have the branding information as you would find on a NIKON or Cannon branded lens cap, but it doesn't need that. It protects the lens from damage while out and about or storing; clip is firm and provides adequate 'clip-on' protection, whether you're using a lens filter or not (UV filter, polarizing filter, etc.).If you need an inexpensive replacement lens cap, this does the trick. I don't use the strap or line with it, I find it cumbersome and a hassle. However, it's there if you need/want it.For the price, you can't beat it, and I would look for similar products for other lenses if I lost another lens cap. Can't give it five stars due to the amount of time it took to receive the product from the seller (but not anything with the product quality).

Inexpensive and better than nothing, but cap falls off too easily
When I read the reviews that said this was easier to remove than the Canon version, I thought that was a good thing. Unfortunately I think it's not. After using it for 6 months+ I've had too many incidents where it fell off when I wasn't really trying to take it off. For example when taking the camera out of a tight fitting case, or when grabbing it wrong from my bag, etc. I really can't complain about something that cost $3 or so, but I think next time I will go with the Canon version.

Way Better Than Stock Canon Lens Caps!!
A while back I watched a comparison video on YouTube comparing two DSLR cameras, Canon and Nikon (what else). In the review the speaker first talked about the lens caps on the Canon and how they sucked, in his opinion. He liked the Nikon's center pinch type lens caps so much better. I've found after attaching a lens hood on a lens, its sometimes difficult to get to the Canon lens cap "pinchers", (not sure what they're referred to). With the Nikon Center Pinch lens caps, no problems at all. I have replaced ALL my Canon lens caps with these center pinch lens caps. I found all sizes I needed on Amazon. I LOVE THESE CAPS!!

I lost my cap this winter and didn't realize it until the snow covered it up. I purchased this cap as a replacement until at least the snow melts and I can find my old one. It is fairly easy for this cap to come off (nothing worse than picking up your camera from inside the bag and finding the lens has been in there without the cap where it could get scratched).I would say it fit my expectations for the cost, so I can't really complain. I wouldn't recommend it be your only lens cap though, just maybe a spare.

5 stars for cap, -1 for "leash"
The cap works well, and at this price it seems silly to quibble... but the "leash" is not as shown. Rather, it is a piece of black string of insufficient length to do the job. If you need something to perform that function, better to use a lens cap keeper (of which there are many on Amazon). Personally, I don't think you need it as long as you have a back pocket.Again, the cap itself is fine.

fit is ok, and the lens cap works, but the grip is not as tight as the original (Sigma) lens cap that this one is replacing.

Leash is just a piece of string
Like others have noted, the leash I received is not like what is pictured. It was simply a length of string, which doesn't really do much good.
