Comes neatly packaged in a nice compact box.I don't have any cast iron pans to scrub but I bought the chain-mail scrubber to clean my stainless steel pots and pans because I was tired of using the stainless steel wool that has been around forever.The chain-mail is well constructed, heavy, and comes on a key ring where you can hang it up.I'll see if it'll stand the test of time but I bought this because of price and the fact that it is made from Type 316 stainless steel (other scrubbers may use the lower end type 304 stainless steel).(From Wikipedia)Type 316—the second most common grade (after 304); for food and surgical stainless steel uses; alloy addition of molybdenum prevents specific forms of corrosion. It is also known as marine grade stainless steel due to its increased resistance to chloride corrosion compared to type 304. 316 is often used for building nuclear reprocessing plants.

I have been looking for a way to clean my favorite cast iron skillet- it is over 50 years old (it belonged to my parents), and I dearly love it, but I hate cleaning it! I've tried several other products, and they all worked kinda sorta- but this chainlink product is the best I've found. I was a little concerned it would scratch the pan, but it absolutely didn't! It removes all the fried food particles stuck to the bottom of the skillet without hard scrubbing. I have very little strength in my hands, and this scrubber does all the hard work for me.Needless to say, I am VERY pleased with the performance of this product, and I will recommend it to my niece's husband who is a chef!

It's not really a scrubber. It breaks up bigger food particles and larger areas of stuck on food.My cast iron is well seasoned and pretty much patent leather black. When used on the stove they are fine and need just a paper towel wipe, rinse in hot water and a re-oil.Baking is where I have the most challenge removing baked on stuff that doesn't easily come off with a paper towel. The process I use is to take a plastic spatula and scrape as much of the stuff off of the pan and then take it out with a paper towel. Then put the pan / pot in the sink and fill it with hot water to get the iron hot. Dump the water and then put about a quarter of an inch in the pan and with a swirling motion rub the chain mail cloth over all of the surfaces of the pan. If any really tough stuff remains I use a stiff bristle brush to remove it. Dry it, oil it and it's good to go for the next time.I NEVER use soap on a cast iron pan, pot or covered oven!

Totally taken with this thing. Great product! We've got lots of cast iron, from mountain pie makers to dutch ovens. The downside of cooking with cast iron is, of course, cleaning it. But now, a little quite-warm water, a touch of Camp Chef cast iron cleaner and this puppy and "Voila". Far easier than any other methods I've previously employed. In fact, I just got done using it yet again and had to come leave a review as I am quite impressed.Be forewarned, this thing somehow transports you to King Arthur's realm. :)

So I purchased the klean kast about three weeks ago as I love to cook and mostly use cast iron for frying as I think the food just tastes better. However cleaning the pans after use was a real pain as scrubbing them down tended to ruin the seasoning in the pan and I would get small rust spots all of the time. This is a real gem to have in the kitchen cleaning the pans has become so much easier, and they retain their seasoning much better, and they do not rust at all. Highly recommend this product on cast iron cookware, and I will be purchasing another one real soon to use on other cast iron features that we have in our home.

I wish I had taken before and after photos because this thing works like a charm. When I first opened the package, I was worried because of how small it looked, but once I got to scrubbing, it fixed a cast iron pan that had gotten left out in the rain with tons of burnt on food (my husband was sent to clean out the burnt bits outside and he left it there to dry and forgot about it :/) . But this fancy little scrubber worked miracles. I scrubbed using this and kosher salt and it was like new.

I love cooking with case iron, but a pain sometimes to clean. This stainless steel scrubber is perfect! It is just the right size for your hand to fit in, not too big or small and scrubs the old burnt on, caked on food in seconds.I use a lot of cast iron skillets in my smoker, hated to clean them and at times a dull haze would build up. I was so excited to get this, I brought in 3 of my skillets, scrubbed them all and now they look almost new again. Amazing!If you use cast iron, you need one of these Kast Klean stainless scrubbers, it works like a charm!

I love cooking with my Cast Iron Skillet but I always hate cleaning it afterwards. I'm so glad I tried this Cast Iron Cleaner Scrubber. It made the task of cleaning my Cast Iron so much easier. This will also make cleanup easier when we go camping also. I also like the pouch that comes with it for storage. I would recommend this scrubber to everyone.
