EASTER EMPTY TOMB SCENE This is an unfinished (unpainted) scene of Jesus' tomb when the angel says He is not here, He is Risen. It comes in 9 pieces so you can easily paint/stain it how you want it. You can get it in Pine wood to stain so you can see the grain of the wood or just paint it. The figurines come with lines on them to guide your painting if desired. Mountain scene/cross is approximately 8" tall, 14" long, and 5 inches deep when assembled. Angel and figures are between 3" and 4.5" tall. "He is Risen" sign can be included. It is engraved in elegant Walnut or Maple wood. It measures 2" high and 10" long and about 3/4" thick. Disclaimer- All wood is not created equal, each piece has its own unique characteristics such as knots, color variations and grain patterns.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
I purchased to use for the empty tomb work for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I. It was perfect. I painted it gray as others have done and painted the women and angel. My husband mounted the tomb to the base and the cross to the tomb.

Solid product
Packaged well and was just what I expected. I sanded down the edges of the tomb to soften and blend the “rock” and stained the wood. I also added moss, aquarium gravel and craft sand. I tried painting the female figures but they didn’t seem to match the scene so I won’t be using them. Overall, I think it’s a great accent piece. A bit over priced but I was glad to find Easter decor that didn’t have bunnies or eggs!

The craftsmanship is wonderful!
The Easter Empty Tomb is wonderful. I chose to leave it natural as that fits in better with my classroom. The craftsmanship is lovely.
