BABY's Time Capsule - 22 Piece Kit children's decor

I personally love this. It is my go to baby gift and I add a few things like a first year record book, monthly stickers etc... whatever I need to make the gift work. The memories to me are the most important. I give it a 4 just bc it's a tin with some paper. The concept itself it great just overpriced for what is included.

Had bought a different one years ago for oldest child. Needed one for youngest too. This came mostly as expected, wish it was larger like my old one & there was a small ding which I can live with. Not sure I’ll use the paperwork stuff it came with.

I have given this same gift at baby showers for the past 17 years. I discovered these time capsules when my kids were babies. It is almost time to open them. Time has moved full circle. In my kids are letters from family members who are no longer with us. I explained this to the first time mother to be whom I bought this for making sure to have her closest loved ones, including herself write to her baby. The sky is the limit on what you want to seal in this treasure. It is truly a treasure that the baby and those participating in this times capsule will enjoy in many years to come.

When my children were born in '98, '00 & '02 we bought time capsules for each. They were fantastic.Now that my friend's baby was born, I searched high & low in every stationary store within a 10mile radius of my home & job and could not find any. I checked Amazon and was pleased to find this one available.However, upon receiving it I was displeased to find that the time capsule is now about HALF the size of what they used to be. With my kids' capsules, we managed to place newspapers, magazines, toys, and the booklets that you fill out with personal stuff all inside. With this unit, the newspapers alone filled them! The booklets were also less detailed & less impressive than before.I still recommend a time capsule for any new baby. However, I wish that they hadn't messed with the size & quality. This unit will still allow you to fill it with small mementos & some magazines, but if you want to save newspapers then you'll need to find a box.

Wow! I wish I would have had these when I had my two little baby girls! This item is bigger than I expected. Well constructed, and really just a precious gift. My daughters are young, however I am a very ill mom. I started a hope chest for my daughters, and also have included a few things for their future babies, whether adopted, or if they are able to have their own. This gives me great pleasure, knowing that I have purchased these items, and this capsule will be a part of my grandbabies future, whether I'm here or not. This is a really, really, neat idea.

Had some great items inside for a shower I'm giving. Also, it is large enough for the parents to put other things in for the child's 18 or 21st birthday.

Just got my new time capsule in the mail today. I was disappointed when I opened it. I had my first child in 1995 and had a really wonderful time completing the baby capsule project. In 1995, the capsule was about 3 times the size of the one available now and we filled it to the brim with magazines, newspapers, keepsakes, sample diaper, photo books, letters, small baby blanket, first outfit, etc. The 1995 Baby booklet was of higher quality...it was larger with thicker pages and darker ink print. The 2012 capsule is very small and the booklet looks like it has been photo copied several time...one of the last pages has information from the "Bride & Groom" which seems like a mixed up from the Wedding capsule to the baby capsule. This is my 2nd child, 17 years later, and its very disappointing to see such a great idea be so poorly carried over to present day. I am planning on going to Hobby Lobby and getting a larger tin to decorate myself so we can put more items in it. I'm also thinking of using an online program to create my own baby capsule book, using the one I got today as a starting point. My last disappointing item is that none of the graphics or inserts appear to be updated to look more current. They are the same exact pictures and fonts from 17 years ago and really look dated.

I love this! I buy one of these for EVERY baby shower I attend and have for years. There is also a Wedding Time Capsule. I bought one for myself when I got married and loved it so I've also given the Wedding Time Capsule as a gift for every bridal shower/wedding I've attended. They are inexpensive and will hold memories for a lifetime. They are always a hit and everyone wants to know where I get them.
