This soccer cake pan came out to be the perfect size I needed for my topper. I could see why everyone was upset about the sizing of the pan, but it did state the actual sizing in the description. The pictures given was confusing and can throw you off, but I believe that was more for the cutters that's included and shows you what you can do with them. For my half soccer ball, I only had to use one pan and the two smaller cutters. And yes it does leave the imprint on the cake for guidance on decorating. If you love baking like I do, then you'll find a way to make it work whether it was the size you were expecting or not because to be honest I didn't read the reviews till after I received my package and was a little disappointed myself, but I made it work and my son will love his cake!

It's way smaller than it looks, I would call it a cupcake not a regular cake pan

I have the large and small Wilton ball pan but as you can tell by the picture I needed something a bit smaller and the fact that the detail of the soccer ball pattern was already there was a real bonus. Only thing that could be better is if they included the stabilizer ring to hold the pan level. I got around this by placing them in the hole of Texas muffin tin

The size goes well for a 6 inch cake. It’s easy to use and I like how the pentagons comes in different sizes. But it’s too small
