The handle is very comfortable to hold - I can use it for long periods of time without my hand cramping. The blade is stout, and razor sharp. The sign of a good blade is how long it will hold its edge before needing touched up - and this knife did a LOT of cutting before needing the edge touched up. The blade sharpened very easily, and maintains its edge for quite some time. I hand wash all of my knives, and this one is no exception. The knife has a beautiful wooden handle, and as long as you take care of the knife, it will last for many, many years!
