Nappturosity: How To Create Fabulous Natural Hair and Locs

Based on the other reviews, I might be the only person who cares about this, but just in case, I'll give my two cents: while Nappturosity has some quality content, its layout is really bad.The only place you'll find pictures is at the very end of the book (there are about seven pictures over five pages, all fairly small and black and white, but of clear enough quality). The left and right margins are very small in this book, so the pages upon pages of straight text look as if they were copied and pasted from a word processing document and printed out with minimal formatting (headers, some bullet points, chapter titles).I won't bother telling you about the content--other reviews have covered it well--but the pages of straight text (paragraphs are, at least, double spaced) with little aesthetic oomph turned me off from reading the book. Eventually, I got used to it, but be warned--you will not find pretty pictures, little blurbs, or much of anything else to break up the content in this book.

This book didn't contain the information I thought it would. The majority of the book is focused on locs. So if you're looking for great information on loc maintenance and styles, this book is perfect for that. Since I don't have locs (or want them) it wasn't very good for me. BUT towards the back of te book there are a few sections that are great for natural hair consumers. There's a section on recommended products and a section on how to read ingredients on the products you buy and what ingredients to avoid. That is awesome! For that reason, this book is useful and worth the money I spent on it.

The book is very informativeNot only does it tell you how to make your hair beautiful, but it list the products and what they can do for you....It also gives you a list of don't s , it helps you recognize the type of hair you have and what's best for your type....I have bought other books before , I was looking for any information that can help me give this best care for my daughters hair , I guest what I am trying to say is thanks to the author they nail it ......

Great guide for all naturals, I am new at this and found this book to be very informative. It gives information on basic maintenance, how to grow strong healthy hair, tools and accessories for natural hair, salon information, hair texture infomation, finding the right hair care regime, loc information, Product review and advice, homemade products informaion, protective styles etc, great book to have handy.

Natural hair is always more beautiful!

You MUST get this book, It has a WEALTH of information. I cried tears the first time I tried to style my hair & had No sucess. If I was gonna try Natural I needed to find out why I was having such a hard time. Got this book, it took care of all my questions, solved my problems. Now I LUV my hair & style with ease. For a SUCCESSFUL journey, you NEED to know YOUR HAIR TYPE, what works, what damages it, the best styles & products to use. Look no further. Great Price too!

Very good, and very informative. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book. While it is not the first book that I have purchased on this subject, it is certainly one of the best that I have read. And, I recommend it without reservation.
