If you're thinking of adding cockatiels to your family, this book gives a lot of insight about their care and diet. It's easy to read and has lots of pictures on the variations. Cockatiels are very easy going, and well tempered, and caring for them is not difficult. Follow the advice in this book and you won't be disappointed.

I bought this book for my 5 year old, along with her first cockatiel. It's a great introduction for her, with nice colorful pictures and all the information needed for a first time bird owner. Would highly recommend this book for kids and adults alike!

While I was hoping for a better, more detailed book on these birds which I recently bought, this book does supply you with the basics that you need to get you started with cockatiels and is a decent guide, but not in depth enough if you're serious about your birds, I gave it a 4 star rating because it has colour photos and is laid out pretty well although it could have had more details or history about the birds.Use as a getting started guide and general information book for light reading, but not if you're serious about cockatiels

Very basic. Plenty of attractive pictures, and it's good enough as a basic intro. However, there are several pieces of information and advice that are questionable at best, and in one place the word "parakeet" is used where they obviously mean "cockatiel." It makes one wonder how much of the book was cut and pasted with minor changes from a parakeet book by the same publisher. I'm not sure whether any of the other basic cockatiel books are any better, but I had hoped for more meaty substance.

Very nice book and very informative. We just lost a Lutino Cockatiel that we had for almost 13 years. My wife was upset because she felt like maybe she didn't feed the right things so that is why we ordered the book. The book is full of information and the do's and dont's of taking care of cockatiels.

This book is very helpful. My granddaughter has a cockatiel and it has given us good information in helping to take care of her bird.

My ESL student bought a cockatiel, and he didn't know anything about them. So, I purchased this book. It served multiple purposes: he learned about how to care for his bird, and it has him reading during the summer!

I love the hard cover book. I thought my son would like it, but I ended up preferring this book and my son another simpler book. He is 2nd grader. Book is very informative but for older kids/adults.
