And any time we resealed our patio, it made matters worse. We learned how slick it actually was when a friend's child slipped and fell - hard - while climbing out of our hot tub. The short answer - not really. I resealed using the Quickrete High Gloss sealer and my patio is still very shiny. The texture is just enough to prevent slips and falls. I wouldn't recommend letting anyone run on the wet pavement, but it definitely lowers your liability of falls. The texture is barely noticeable on your feet. You know it's there, but it's not rough at all. The powder is about as fine as powdered sugar. And it dries clear. I used it with an epoxy paint for our pool house floor. It worked quite well. Not completely “slip proof” but way better than the plain paint.
