My Weekly Usage and Only One Bottle in a Year so far. Update 2015-01-04, Periogen works, 3 years later I need to order again.
I had bought this two bottle offer last June 2012. As I only use the Waterpik once a week, one bottle has lasted me a year and three months. This is taking into account some times I have gone two weeks because of not taking the time to use this product and the Waterpik and a couple of times two and a half weeks. I use one of those little monthly planners to log the days that I use the Waterpik to help remind myself when it's time again. I have found that once a week for me is good enough to keep my gums healthy. The first time I used Periogen I noticed my teeth had that slick feeling you get after the hygienist cleans your teeth. It gets between the teeth well also. My method of using one capful of mouthwash, a capful of peroxide and a half a thimble of the little measuring spoon, dipper or whatever you want to call it.Toward two thirds of the way of use of the product the powder caked up and I had to do some work with the dipper to break it up into usable powder again. The little packet of desiccant did not help to keep it powdered at all. It was not a problem though as I finished the last of the one bottle last week. It is now Sept. 9th, 2013 and I will be opening the second bottle and I hope to get another year before having to buy more. Other reviews can make you feel that the product is not worth the price. But, what would you use in place of it I ask. It would not still be here for sale if it did not work as advertised I believe. What have you got to lose anyway? Your teeth and jawbone maybe? :)Update: 2015-01-04. I am ordering another 2 bottles now as my 2nd bottle is just about gone. I looked at other products today to compare and I believe the ingredients in these all do the same thing basically. They reverse the process of tartar buildup. My recent dental cleaning and exam has proved that using Periogen with my weekly water pik usage as I described above, is working just fine. If the price scares you don't let it bother you. If used as I have been doing it is way worth the money in costs saved on dental work caused by not doing preventative maintenance on your teeth regularly. Now, just get started and you'll be so glad you did. I am so happy that this product is still available today at the same price I bought it for originally.

Love it in my water pik
Still have tartar but I only use it at night. I feel better using this and I like that it doesn’t have fluoride

Periogen Review
I purchased the Periogen a little over a month ago, I wanted to wait to see what my dentist said before I wrote a review. The tech hardly had to scrape anything at all, only a little bit between my lower front teeth and the inside lower teeeth before I knew it she was done. I have several pockets, some 5, 6.I asked her how the pockets were looking, the 5's have gone down to a 2, the 6's had gone down to a 3.She told me to continue whatever I was doing because it was working. I asked her if she had ever heard of the Periogen, she said that she had not, but wanted to know where I purchased it, I told her here on Amazon.I made three changes to my dental care to get these results. I bought a Sonic Care toothbrush, a waterpik and the Periogen. The water pik Ultra comes with the Pik Pocket tip but I had a hard time getting it down in the pocket but obviously the periogen has gotten down into the pockets with using the plaque and ortho tips.In the water pik I use half water and half peroxide and then two measures of the Perigen. I am using more Periogen this way but it is really working so I don't mind having to buy more often.Using these three stopped my bleeding gums, instead of red and puffy, they now look a healthy pink.I plan to continue doing the same process, hopefully I can keep any tartar forming since now I am starting with freshly cleaned teeth. The Periogen is not cheap but after the good report that I received yesterday from my dentist, I thinnk that it is well worth the price!

Updated 7/17/2012---It didn't work for me.
I had a not so good visit when I had my teeth cleaned six months ago. The dental tech wanted me to see her every four months because plaque was building quickly. My dentist recommended I use a Waterpik in addition to my regimen of brushing with an electric Braun and flossing. I found Periogen while searching for Waterpick. After six months of religious use of both products, I went in last week for cleaning and the dental tech was not impressed with my progress as relates to the plaque build up. I used one of the two bottles of Periogen that were purchased during those six months and was quite disappointed there was no improvement in plaque/tartar production. I really wanted this to work. I have been very pleased with the Waterpik but must give Periogen a 1 star (because there is no zero) based upon my dental tech's analysis, and this was before she knew I had used Periogen.Update 11/9/2011: The company contacted me concerned that the product did not perform as they expect. The amount of Periogen I used may not have been enough to battle my potentially higher than normal production of tartar. I will increase the amount of Periogen used and report findings in another six months. I will also see a different office for my next cleaning to assure that the hygienist is not the real problem.Update 7/17/2012: I'm going to give this product a qualified 4 stars and call it a success. During the six months following my last update, I used Periogen much more generously than the instructions called for. I monitored buildup with a dental mirror and did not see any during the period I used Periogen. I ran out near the time I was scheduled for my next dental cleaning. Unfortunately, a retirement caused us to change to COBRA and USAA (my wife's previous employer) really messed that up---it took six+ weeks to resolve which put us to the final days before a planned extended trip so I was not able to schedule a cleaning and was without Periogen for more than two months. Additionally, I started using Closys toothpaste, which I highly recommend even though it is higher priced than most, and a Waterpik, which I also highly recommend because it cleans out debris remaining after a good brushing and flossing. I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and the dental hygienist thought everything looked excellent especially considering the length of time since my last cleaning. Was it the Periogen, the Closys or the Waterpik or a combination of all three? I'm not sure but I am going to continue to use all three.
