Have a need to cook larger sizes on spit.

The product is exactly what I was looking for. The details state that the ring will fit spits up to 1" diameter. Mine is just shy of an inch, and it was too big for my spit. One person said they banged the ring to make it fit. I didn't want to do that, instead I extended the threads of the rod so it could screw deeper into the ring. I used a Metric M8-1.25 size from my tap and die set, and it works perfectly now

I'm guessing this was intended to be universal. On my BBQ I had to smash(which worked quite well) the mounting ring as it was way too big. Then I had to cut down the counter weight rod so it would not hit the bbq lid. After doing these it works fine other than needing pliers to dismount since cutting off the bent end to make shorter.
