It can be a little tricky to find the levitation sweet spot, but with a little practice it becomes easy. Make sure that the base is plugged in and keep metal objects away so as not to interfere with the magnetic field. Hold the magnetic disk about 15cm/ 6 inches above the base. Lower the disk with both hands directly over the center of the base, keeping it level until you feel the upward magnetic force supporting the weight of the disk. Gently let go keeping it centered and level. If it falls, simply lift the disk up and try again. Expect that it will take several attempts and may require some practice to master. Review: A+ Recommendation - A beautiful & eye-catching item and a major attention-getter. Great for demos. - A+ Recommendation - A beautiful & eye-catching item and a major attention-getter. This product is well designed and attractive with high quality electronics. It is a fun and very different item to have. It works extremely well and I have shown this item in many demonstrations about magnetic levitation and the relative strengths of two fundamental forces, magnetism and gravity. Kids love these demonstrations and it gets them interested in science. In general, everyone has been impressed with the device. Now, be patient with the balancing of the disk and use both hands so as to avoid unnecessary hits between the disk and the base unit. Make sure to use the provided cork base. This takes a little practice and patience but it becomes easier with time. All in all, you will not be disappointed. Everybody who has seen it at my house has loved it. Have fun! Review: MAGNETIC LEVITATION DEVICE LEVITATAING KIT 30MM ISTANCE - THIS ITEM IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY SINCE THE POWER CORD CHINESE MAKE IS LOW QUALITY & THE CONNECTION IS LOOSE BECAUSE OF WHICH THE LEVITATING BASE ELECTRO MAGNET RECEIVES ERRANT POWER SUPPLY & THE LEVITATION DISC CANNOT FLOAT IN THE CENTER. ALSO SINCE THEIR IS NO POWER INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE BASE, ONE CANNOT JUDGE IF THE DEVICE IS PROPERLY ON OR OFF. SUCH COSTLY ELECTRONIC SHOW PIECES SHOULD HAVE GOOD QUALITY FAIL SAFE POWER CONNECTORS & INDICATORS. ## Features - The levitating magnetic disc can hold up to 13 ounces (approximately 350 grams) in mid-air - 30mm maximum levitation distance - Includes a "levitation assistant" cork mat to help guide where to place the levitating disk - The base color is dark brown - This magnetic levitation display is for DIY enthusiasts who want to create their own levitation projects ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 3.5 out of 5 stars 22 Reviews | ## Images ![Magnetic Levitation Device Levitating Kit 30mm Levitation Distance - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61cghPy5izL.jpg) ![Magnetic Levitation Device Levitating Kit 30mm Levitation Distance - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ySJ7cwlvL.jpg) ![Magnetic Levitation Device Levitating Kit 30mm Levitation Distance - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71RG4RtGVfL.jpg) ![Magnetic Levitation Device Levitating Kit 30mm Levitation Distance - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mg1VgIfuL.jpg) ![Magnetic Levitation Device Levitating Kit 30mm Levitation Distance - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/711lzqXrlPL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A+ Recommendation - A beautiful & eye-catching item and a major attention-getter. Craftsmanship and quality are outstanding and have never been an issue. Be patient trying to center the magnet disc - it can seem tricky at first but, if you don't get in a hurry you'll find that it isn't difficult at all. I use them for Halloween and Christmas decorations along with lots of other uses. Friends think they're the coolest thing. If you're looking for a unique way to display something, this is the perfect way to do it. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/40709228-magnetic-levitation-device-levitating-kit-30mm-levitation-distance](https://www.desertcart.be/products/40709228-magnetic-levitation-device-levitating-kit-30mm-levitation-distance) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
