I am a carpenter so I always need a pencil. I held them in my ear for years but they fall out at the worse times, I tried those retractable strings that hook to your shirt collar and they are fine but I keep reaching to my ear. So I tried these, PERFECT! I clip it to my hat above or behind my ear and when I reach for my pencil there it is. I kept 1 and gave the other 2 away and if I wear a hat without one on it I am constantly looking for my pencil, so I bought another pack to put on more hats, problem solved! If you use a pencil a lot and wear a hat these are a must have.

Falls off hardhat regularly

This was great for what I needed. I wanted something to hold a carpenter's pencil on my hard hat. Works perfectly. My only gripe is that. I had to buy my own double sided tape. I recommend Gorilla Tape Mounting Squares.

The bad thing is they fall off very easy, but the next set I’m buying I’m taking some JB weld and glueing it to my hard hat which holds them in place.

Husband liked having this for work. It is very handy.
