Envirosafe Efflorescence Remover/Exterior Surface Cleaner 1 Gallon

Based on the only other review of this product, together with the manufacturer's assurance that it wouldn't damage the color of pavers, I chose this to remove efflorescence from my 4-month-old pavers on my front walk. BIG MISTAKE!!! Not only did it not remove the efflorescence (it still has a whitish haze when dry), but it RUINED my brand-new walkway. This product removed the original color from parts of, or in some cases all of the surface of the pavers. It is most noticeable when wet (the efflorescence hides it when dry).The original color was a mottled mixture of Toffee/Onyx/Mauve, as seen in the first photo. The other photos show a uniform, lighter red color where this product stripped off the original color.If I could give this zero stars, I would. Avoid at all costs!

This is the best product I have found for my Pavers and EfflorescenceWe built a new home and installed pavers over the post tension concrete slab in the back yard. Because it does not get the direct sun, the pavers do not dry out and I have had a terrible time with buildup of efflorescence. I have had them powerscrubed twice in the last year. I have tried Muratic Acid and the white will just not go away.I saw this online and bought a gallon. I diluted it 3 to 1 and used a brush to apply it. The Efflorescence is gone. It is easy enough to deal with that even if it comes back I am a loyal user of EMS from now on.

I bought one gallon of this product to try it. It is AMAZING. I just bought the last 2 gallons Amazon currently had available.I have 4 pallets of pavers that have been stored stacked up outside for 7 years that I need to clean before I get them installed. They are terribly stained with Efflorescence. I bought some phosphoric acid from a local store and tried it and was really unhappy with the results - took off most of the efflorescence but left the pavers discolored and with a transparent orange stain. I really had to scrub to get that mediocre result.The EMS Envirosafe Efforescence Remover arrived yesterday and I tried it and I was amazed. It took off every bit of staining and returned the pavers to pristine condition. I cleaned some of the pavers that I hadn't touched yet and some that I had already cleaned with the phosphoric acid and it took off all of the efflorescence and staining. I used the solution ratio for heavy soil (3 parts water to 1 part remover), left the solution on for 10 minutes then brushed it a little and rinsed. When they dried they were perfect. I am so very pleased with this product.I've attached a photo - the paver on the left is one that has been cleaned with this product, the center one was what it originally looked like and the one on the right shows the orange discoloration left by the acid.I don't know if this orange stain shows up well in this photo, but it is very visible in person.
