Perfect for picnics
I love this blanket. It has a nice soft fleece top and the tarp on the bottom prevents moisture from seeping through. The large size is fantastic for my family and the ability to roll it up nicely into an easily carried roll is awesome! Also, if it gets dirty, I can simply wash it in the washing machine unlike many other waterproof outdoor blankets I've had in the past.

Difficult to roll up
I wasn't impressed with how the blanket rolls back up. You would think the design should allow for a traditional half fold and fold again then roll.... but you have to do the fold to center. This is not exactly easy to do on the field after a game in the rain. It takes at least two people to accomplish.

Excellent Utility Blanket
Warm, water resistant on one side and lightweight, I recently purchased three of these for a camping trip in Northern Florida in Feb; it was cold (Polar Vortex!) and these blankets were a huge advantage to have in the cold and rainy conditions. Can be used as a picnic or beach planet; very versatile. Also, stores compactly.

Small enough for my 6 y/o to carry and is very lightweight
The blanket is warm on the inside and the backside that is water proof seems like it will be (havent used it in the rain yet) Sports is year round for my family so I ordered this to keep me and my younger kids warm (dry) for the rainy weather as we watch faithfully from the bleachers. This blanket will be used alot for my home. The beach, poolside, picnics and course to stay dry and warm during football games.

Keep warm and dry
A really convenient product. It's a great outdoor blanket with the bonus of being waterproof. Perfect size, and the blanket extension serves as a carrying case......with handle!!! Well thought out product.

Buyer beware Noisey plastic liner & thin fleece lacks warmth!
Whether your sitting upon the blanket alone or with another, if you move even slightly the blanket makes a noise somewhat akin to walking on fall leaves. Additionally, the blanket is not warm!I purchased 2 Lightspeed Outdoors XL Plush Fleece Outdoor Stadium Rainproof and Windproof Picnic Blanket - Camp Blanket here on Amazon and needed a 3rd. In comparison to to the Hood River, The Lightspeed blanket are of great quality, warm and lightweight.I purchased The Hood River blanket because it appeared to be of equal quality and was less expensive. Unfortunately, the old adage of buyer beware and looks can be deceiving applys to the Hood River blanket. It lacks warmth, is noisey and cheaply made. In an effort to save a few dollars, I compromised quality of product and lost $$. As the return time has expired, I am left with a blanket that will most likely be utilized as an outdoor table cloth or a painting tarp. Buyer beware.

It may be billed as a stadium blanket, but it's the perfect picnic blanket!
Outstanding product. It rolls up in its own attached cover. It's size works well for two people. We are very pleased with it. Sorry the pic is not the best composition, but you do get a sense of scale when paired with the 28x28 table. Nice job hood river. I only wish it had a thicker pile of fleece. But we're not using it as a stadium blanket.
