    Hux Eye Mouse Traps

*by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2017*

Got these in the mail earlier today (super fast delivery BTW cuz I ordered them yesterday), put gloves on, and set them up with Nutella in the bait cups right in front of their nest space under the sink in the kitchen. I've already caught 2 adult mice with them. A baby mouse roams free, I was chasing it around earlier, and watched it run clear across 4 traps' trigger pads--I think it's too light to set them off. Will need to get glue pads for those--if there is one baby mouse, there probably are lots more--and I'm not about to give them free Nutella feasts until they're big enough to trigger these traps. Yick.I am extremely squeamish about these mice in my tiny apartment, they make my skin crawl and every hair on my body stand up when I see one scurry by. The thought of having to deal with dead mice in traps was NOT appealing to me at first so I tried those electric zapper kinds that promise you won't have to see the mouse, but they didn't work--the mice licked the Nutella right off the bait wall and left footprints in them to taunt me. I wasted my money and about 2 weeks waiting and hoping for the zapper to work, but I needed to do something FAST because the mice were getting bolder by each night--they used to run away when they saw me but they started to not care, probably because they figured out that I was graciously treating them to Nutella every night in nice shiny cozy chambers that had nothing but harmless blinking lights on top of them.Enter Hux Eye with its results on the first night. Because I had been so squeamish about the mice, I had thought this through before I set the traps--I tied long pieces of yarn to the release bar so that I can drag the traps back out from behind furniture, so I picked it up by the yarn and released the very dead rodent into the toilet and flushed it. I wear disposable plastic gloves so that my bare hands never touch the trap and use a wooden chopstick to dab a bit of Nutella to the bottom of the bait cup so that the mice have to really stick their heads into the trap to get to it. Both kills had all of the bait still left in the cup because the mice didn't even get to it before the trap set off. I was also very relieved that the trap bar doesn't break skin--neither of the kills were bloody at all, which would have been another nightmare on top of having to deal with these mice in the first place.Overall, I would highly recommend these if you have small house mice, but only for adult mice--you will need different methods for catching baby mice since they don't trigger these traps.UPDATE 9/6:I caught one more (very pregnant) adult mouse that probably decided to wait until she was near starving to come check out a trap. Baby mice stopped coming out of the nest once Mama disappeared. I called my apartment maintenance because I couldn't get to the nest (there was a hole in the corner where the toe kicks meet in the kitchen and the nest was far against the wall out of sight) so they came out, took the original kick boards off, got rid of the nest and sealed the whole thing up so now there is no hole. Traps have not gone off for the last 3 nights and the bait is left untouched in every one of them, so I think it's safe to say that I have won my war against these invaders hooray! \\(^o^)//

Not bad and better than other traps, but not exactly perfect either.

*by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2017*

better than the Kat Sense mouse trap model but you don't get the color tube indicating when trap has sprung and 2 or 3 out of the bunch don't work like the others do.

    These traps work great!

*by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2017*

These traps work so much better than the old traps we used! These are highly reliable, sturdy, powerful, and well-designed.With my old traps, the mice would eat the bait without snapping the trap much of the time. Moreover, when they did get caught in the trap, often it would not kill them instantly. It was regrettable to witness, and eventually, I could not take it anymore and needed a better solution. However, I have not had excellent luck with live mouse traps, and I dislike sticky traps. We had an issue recently this summer with mice, and it reached a point where I knew we needed a quick solution. I came across these, and after reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. Boy, do they work great!I set up six traps around the perimeter of our kitchen with some peanut butter in them. Within a matter of 2-3 days, there weren't any mice left. The traps killed the mice instantly (and presumably painlessly as a result). Additionally, they are so sensitive and efficient that the mice have not even touched the bait yet that I can tell.Ever since then, we have left a few traps around for good measure, but haven't had another problem yet. I would recommend these traps to anyone looking for this type of solution.
