SLI Lighting 37698 Hydro Flame Motor

Had to replace a screaming motor on an Atwood furnace in my motorhome. The 37698 Hydro Flame Motor was an exact replacement for the original. Took a little more time than I originally thought to remove the old motor due to rust on the shaft but the new one went in with no problems. Works great and no more noise when the furnace kicks on.

A good value for the money, was exact replacement for the old motor, not an easy installation but not because of the motor but because of where it has to go. New motor is very quiet.

Hoping it holds up...Not OEM part but aftermarket NBK brand?... pretty much fits my atwood 8535-iv-dclp rv furnace. The posts are thinner than the original so I had to get a clip for the lower flame wheel to stay on. I don't know if the original was missing the clip or held on with loctite, but it didn't keep falling off the bottom post like this. Using a clip like the top seemed to work. This has cutouts in the wrong place for the metal support bracket that runs from the bottom, up the side of the motor and holds the top of the motor... so I couldn't even use that... Hopefully the clamp around the bottom is enough to hold it in. Maybe there is some more vibration because of this and I hope it doesn't fly out of the clamp. Been working great for a day now and hopefully the bottom fan wheel doesn't fly off and we'll be good. A little upset that the brand was misrepresented and it wasn't an exact fit but happy to be warm.

I ordered this just in case my failed blower fan had damaged the installed motor. I will keep this for future repairs (I don't plan to install this until I need it). This is a new motor in the original packaging. This part arrived as scheduled and I would recommend this seller to others. I bought this to replace my motor in atwood furnace in my hitchhiker trailer. It fit just as the old works like a charm. Few hours of work and just like new.

Any time you're replacing an electrical part that has moving parts in it, take the time to pay attention to details. This part is slightly different but it does fit perfectly. The wires are a bit longer but have the proper right angle connectors on them. The combustion fan shaft (the shorter one) is about .25" longer than the old one. If you install it properly, it won't make a difference. I tested the sound emanated by the old motor (squeaking at start and an undulating rumbling noise as it ran) and the new motor (high speed hum but overcome by the amount of air moved). Blower air noise went up due to the much higher volume of air being moved. Overall, it is much quieter. Let's see how long this motor lasts.

Was an exact replacement for my Attwood 8535 furnace. Took a little bit of work to change, my blower for the burner was rusted on and took some time to get off. Not the fault of the new motor obviously just saying. The new just slid right in and went together quickly.

Works great! I was leary about buying one this inexpensive but it’s just fine. I would recommend buying bout fans though because I only bought the smaller one and struggled with the larger original metal one a bit. I did have to cut my original wires but it’s fine and purring like a kitten not screaming like a dying cat. (A lot of people associated the noise that way) watched a couple YT videos and figured it out.

I am pleased that this motor has been the answer to the noise I was having with my furnace when I would turn it on. I was hopeful this would be the answer as it could have been a really expensive fix if I would have had to replace the furnace. I also replaced the sail switch as we felt this would be a good time to install it as we had the motor out of the RV and was easy to get at. Motor wasn’t the actual number that was on the older one but the information provided indicated that it was the correct one to use. Very happy with the product.
