Galvan 8-Ft. Ground Rod Kit

The only 8' ground rod that is designed to be user friendly. It is designed such that you can use a small sledge hammer and install it without damaging the threads or the rod. Simply put the sleeve and bolt on the first section and hammer it to within a few inches of ground level, take the bolt out leaving the sleeve in place and screw on the second section. Hammer it down until they are over 7' in the ground and attach your ground wire with the included clamp. Simple and easy.

I'm not sure what I was thinking. Let's face it - driving 8' of anything into the ground is rather arduous. I don't know that I really gained much of anything with the 2-piece pole concept. I've got to believe that the wider diameter of the coupling makes the last 4' that much harder too.Poorly packaged and my ground clamp was missing. The rod itself and coupling seem to be good quality.

I was concerned about being able to install an eight foot ground rod. This rod was easy to install using just a sledge hammer and it was also less expensive than most of the 8' rods in the ads that I saw.
