Purchased this device for its compatibility with Kali Linux and ability to operate as an AP. It works fine in both capacities. It's range is fair and connectivity is stable so far. There are plenty of 2.4 adapters out there but I needed dual band.

This left me disappointed even though the unit seems to work ok
The unit I received had a blank installation mini disc that didn't work. I had to download the appropriate drivers from their website. Once installed the Realtek USB Wireless Lan Utility indicated this unit as a model RTL8811AU Wireless Lan 802.11ac USB 2.0 Network Adapter. It was advertised as an USB 3.0 adapter which is why I purchased the unit. This left me disappointed even though the unit seems to work ok. Another example of advertising not reflecting the actual product.Update. . The sellers coustomer service resolved the issue in a prompt and excellent manner.

Delivered Oct 13, dead by November 13th. "Return window closed on Nov 12".Seemed to have good performance while it lasted...

Work great with Raspberry Pi 2
I have got a small army of these for use on several of my single board computers (like Raspberry Pi 2) that don't have WiFi built in. They are compatible with all the flavors of Linux I've used them on without and special drivers. They are also reasonably fast.
