Bought these wheels July 2017. They were great for my sewing chair since I have to move around quite frequently. They moved very smoothly and I was in love with these wheels. Over the past few weeks, I started to notice difficulty moving around my floor and ball bearing were spilling out. Admittedly there is an area rug on the hardwood floor. Upon inspection, two of the wheels were broken and the ball bearings missing and today one of the wheels broke off. I am sad to say that these didn't make it even a year, which in my mind is not a heavy duty wheel. I know I read reviews last year and didn't remember seeing anything about not using on a rug like I see in the description now. I bought these specifically so that they would easily glide on a rug. Fortunately I didn't toss out the old wheels. I am not a large person, and am under half the weight allowance so I don't think the wheels were stressed in any way unless the rug was the culprit. So with regrets, I write this review and and will have to look for some other wheels.Update: The description mentioned that rugs and carpet cause more friction on the wheels. However, in the title of this product, it mentions that these are great use on carpet. I find this very misleading.

I received my set in August, and they seemed to work well - very smooth rolling, and they made the chair seem like new (actually, it rolled better than it did with the original wheels). However, over this past week it started doing the same thing as many others have noted in their review - they have been ejecting the greasy ball bearings all over the floor. I have a little cup full of 2 different sizes of bearings now. I would not recommend this product until they figure out the problem and fix it. Not happy with these at all.

 I received these as a gift and will now be buying a set for my partner's office chair. I was a little surprised by the gift of wheels because really who replaces the wheels or needs a wheel upgrade? Well, apparently we all do! I am sure my downstairs neighbor is in love with these wheels as much as I am. They make the chair mostly silent! And with a toddler who LOVES pushing and being pushed in my office chair I now can comply without fear of angering my downstairs neighbor. I have posted a short video of just how quiet the wheels are. We push our toddler over carpet as easily as the hardwood. They were so easy to switch out and look like they will even be easier to keep clean (my old wheels were pretty disgusting and full of twisted up hair, yuck). So in short if this is something you think you need, you are absolutely right, if you're on the fence I guarantee you'll be impressed. I'm still in shock I'm this excited about office chair wheels!!

I Love, love, love these office chair wheels. They are amazing! First off I will tell you that I am not a small girl and that the 2 other people that use the chair that I put these wheels on are not real small either. So we have gone through a few chairs in the last year or so. So we decided to try a different approach and replace the wheels rather then the whole chair this time. These wheels seem to be made so well. The wheel itself is like a roller-blade wheel and is made out of rubbery material like a real tire... The caster part is made out of metal...... This is so much better then the plastic wheels that we are used too. I have only had them on my chair for a few weeks, but so far so great.

Love these wheels on my office chair.As someone who spends countless 10-12hr days in my office chair, mobility, comfort, and support are crucial. One of the wheels has already deformed and started losing ball bearings all over my floor after about a month. Sadly will have to look into new wheels already = /Update 10/10: company contacted me and sent another set. Have had for a whike with no problems. I just got a bad pack. Rating yodated from 2 to 4.

These wheels will forever change your mind about office chair wheels. They are perfect on hardwood and won't scuff your floors. I live how quiet and effortlessly they roll on wood! The cheap plastic wheels that come with office chairs don't always roll very easily and scratch your floors in the process (unless you keep your floors immaculate). These wheels also alleviate the need for a chair mat.The product itself is sturdy and appear to be a quality that will hold up (but only time will tell). It's definitely a "must have" if you spend several hours a day in an office chair!

These wheels were really easy to install and I like the way they roll easily on my hard surface floor. The old wheels did require a screw driver and vise grip to pull them out. These new wheels also appear to be indestructible: I picked up the box from my post office and left it in the back of my car with my dog. She completely shredded the Amazon box, made a small hole in the wheel box, and pulled out all five wheels. The wheels survived without a mark on them!
