This toaster is so light but seems sturdy, time will tell how it holds up. I love the way it looks, and the price makes me love it more. Functionally it works great, all buttons work and each level toasts exactly as it should. The first time I used it I put it up high and if you keep watch it will not burn the toast, unless you forget about it.. I tested a few levels just to see where I wanted it, the toaster did not retain any smell. So glad I found this and purchased it after much back and forth with another brand.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this toaster because I get wide pieces of sourdough bread. A traditional toaster couldn’t fit my slices or only half of it would get toasted. This one accommodates my bread slices, each side gets nicely toasted. It has a defrost option which I appreciate because I keep my bread in the freezer. Very good and convenient for me.

First off, this toaster is slower at toasting than my previous two toasters. It takes just enough extra time to be annoying, but it's not like twice as long or anything like that. I suppose a plus is that it may be harder to burn the toast by being a bit more leisurely in operation.The lever presses down a bit clunky, may not stay down on the first try. Again, not something I've experienced with my previous toasters, which had smooth operation of the lever.The toast level is controlled by a single "button" that cycles through 1-6 so to go from 5 to 4 you need to press it five times. Really would just prefer a lever here, or separate +/- buttons. We have the toaster sitting sideways so the button panel is on the side which isn't ideal, but not really a big deal.Toasting level is pretty even on both sides of the bread, and it can hold four regular slices no problem.

After about five years of purchasing a toaster and we’ve purchased four, we finally have a toaster that doesn’t burn it, only toast half and then have to flip to do the other side or have it not toast at all. However, for the bread we use it is not a four slice. But okay with that.

Very good toaster. Easy to use. Easy to clean.Got this because I often get bread that isn't the standard "square" size from the 1950s. This can easily handle any type of bread you throw at it. Heck, I can even toast 3 english muffins at the same time.

We tend to eat soda bread rather than a standard loaf, but the issue with artisan breads is that their slices tend to be longer and thicker than a typical slice. This toaster is awesome. I can toast a bagel evenly without scraping the topping along the toaster wall. It seems to be slightly longer than my old toaster but the result is even with less risk of burning. It looks like a super high-end appliance from the future.

Pretty much as described by the rave reviews. Made in China. No instruction/warranty booklet included. Guess I'll have to assume it will be easy to navigate or will have to take the time to contact the seller to see if they even bothered to create a user guide.
